🎉🌬️ Новый рекорд в производстве ветровой энергии! 🌬️🎉

🎄 Сочельник подарил новый рекорд в области ветровой энергетики! 🚀 По данным IG Windkraft, было произведено 79,34 ГВт⋅ч чистой энергии – это абсолютный максимум! ⚡

🏆 2024 стал годом рекордов:
🌿 Впервые ветровая энергия покрыла более 16% потребностей Австрии в электричестве.
💨 В день 24 декабря ветроэнергия обеспечила 56,76% всей электроэнергии в стране.

🔢 Факты простыми словами:
“Этот объем энергии способен обеспечить около 22,700 домов электроэнергией на целый год,” – говорит директор IG Windkraft, Флориан Марингер.

📌 На сегодняшний день в Австрии:
🔹 1,426 турбин общей мощностью 3,885 МВт.

🌍🚋 Tram World Championship 2025: Vienna Welcomes the World! 🚋🌍

In September 2025, Vienna will host the first-ever Tram World Championship, expanding the tradition of the European Tramdriver Championship (TRAM-EM) to a global stage.

Since 2012, tram drivers have competed in unique challenges like precision driving and tram bowling, and now teams from 25 countries across South America, Asia, and Africa are set to join the competition.

🏆 Key Events:

🚋 Precision Driving – Maneuvering trams through tight spaces.
🚋 Emergency Braking – Stopping safely in critical zones.
🚋 Tram Bowling – Knocking over pins with a tram-driven ball.
🚋 Exact Stopping – Halting perfectly at platforms.
🚋 Speed Estimation – Driving at specific speeds without a speedometer.

📩 Invitations will be sent out in January 2025, with more details to follow in Spring.

Vienna, the TRAM-EM 2023 winner, is ready to shine again.
“Trams are part of what makes Vienna the most livable city in the world,” said Mayor Michael Ludwig.

Austrian plant construction company Zaunergroup builds data centre for Google in Norway

🌐 Austrian plant construction company ZAUNERGROUP builds data centre for Google in Norway. "𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘺", say Managing Directors Roman Zauner and Andreas Beck.

Negotiations lasted 6 months, and initial preparatory work has been underway for 3 months. Now, global tech giant Google has officially confirmed that it is relying on the expertise of the Upper Austrian company for the construction of a major data centre in the municipality of Skien, 130 kilometres south of the Norwegian capital, Oslo.

During the busiest phase of construction, around 600 Zauner employees will be working in Norway, handling mechanics and electrical systems. Construction is set to begin in the first quarter of 2025.

The company, founded in 1998 by Manfred Zauner, initially focused on pipeline construction, which remains a core business area. Zauner has also been active in battery factory projects, such as for Tesla.

In 2006/07, Zauner diversified into systems for the pharmaceutical industry. In 2018, the company entered the data centre sector. By now, the Wallern-based company has already completed several reference projects in this field. Google is among its previous clients. "𝘞𝘦'𝘷𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘢 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩 𝘭𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘢", say Zauner and Beck, who took over management in 2021 from Manfred Zauner and Franz Maurer.

Zauner employs over 1,000 people and recently achieved revenues of around 360 million euros.

♻🔮❄ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗲 – 𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹! The small pieces of art are handmade in Vienna and delight people around the world. One reason for their popularity is that the snowfall inside looks especially beautiful.

The snow globe has a special charm. No matter how tastefully it is designed, what scenes are captured inside, or what season it actually is outside, almost everyone enjoys giving it a shake and watching the snow drift down.

The finest snowfall can be found in the products from the 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗦𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, and that has been the case for over 100 years.

It is not recorded when the first snow globe was produced. One of the oldest known snow globes could be admired at the World's Fair in Paris in 1878. At the end of the 19th century, Erwin Perzy reinvented the concept and patented the "glass globe with snow effect".

Today, the company offers a wide selection of models: from classic souvenirs to playful designs. They also produce custom pieces for businesses and special occasions, and create individual items for celebrities as well as private customers.

The family-run business is now managed by the fourth generation. 𝗘𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿, 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝟯𝟬𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝘀𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗮. About half are exported to Japan. The Viennese snow globes are also much sought-after in Korea, the USA, and Switzerland.

Меня зовут Кристина, и мне посчастливилось провести почти три месяца в Алматы, работая волонтёром в команде AC Almaty. Меня часто спрашивают: почему именно Казахстан? Сначала мои ассоциации с этой страной сводились к степям, кумысу и Скриптониту. Но я чувствовала, что за этими стереотипами скрывается нечто большее. Поэтому я отправилась в поиски настоящего Казахстана — вдали от клише и привычных представлений.

🎭 Алматы оказался идеальным местом для этого. Город, полный удивительных людей, давно стал творческим центром Казахстана. За два с половиной месяца я погрузилась в его невероятную культурную жизнь: посмотрела впечатляющий оперный спектакль о семье Чингисхана, побывала на ярких стендап-шоу (да, сцена комедии здесь на высоте!) и посетила музей имени Кастеева, где представлены потрясающие работы казахстанских народных художников.

☕️ Ну и, конечно, нельзя не упомянуть про кафе! Несмотря на то, что я из Вены, известной своей культурой кофеен, Алматы меня приятно удивил. Я открыла столько классных мест, что теперь могу смело считать себя экспертом по алматинским кофейням. Если вам нужны советы, куда сходить, кроме Vanilla и Nedelka, пишите мне — с радостью подскажу!

Ich bin Christina und hatte das große Vergnügen, fast drei Monate lang als Volontärin Teil des AC Almaty Teams zu sein. Oft werde ich gefragt: Warum gerade Kasachstan? Meine ersten Assoziationen mit diesem Land waren Steppe, Kumis und Skryptonite. Doch mir war klar, dass Kasachstan viel mehr zu bieten hat als die damit verbundenen Klischees und Rapmusik. Also machte ich mich auf die Suche nach der einem Kasachstan abseits meiner bekannten Vorstellungen.

🎭 Almaty war dafür der perfekte Ausgangspunkt. Die Stadt ist die Heimat außergewöhnlicher Menschen und das kreative Zentrum Kasachstans. In den zweieinhalb Monaten, die ich hier verbringen durfte, habe ich die vielfältige Kulturszene Almatys erkundet: von beeindruckenden Opernaufführungen über die Familie von Genghis Khan bis hin zu humorvollen Stand-Up-Comedy-Shows (die Comedy-Szene hier ist erstaunlich gut etabliert!). Besonders begeistert hat mich auch das Kasteyev-Museum mit seinen wunderschönen Ausstellungen kasachischer Künstler:innen.

☕️ Und dann wären da noch die Cafés! Obwohl ich aus Wien mit seiner ausgeprägten Kaffeehauskultur komme, hat mich Almaty positiv überrascht. Ich habe in meiner Zeit in Almaty so viele coole Cafés entdeckt, dass ich mich inzwischen fast als Expertin bezeichnen würde. Also wenn ihr Tipps abseits der bekannten Spots wie Vanilla oder Nedelka sucht, meldet euch gerne bei mir!

🫂 Rückblickend war es eine wunderschöne Erfahrung, die mir die Gelegenheit gegeben hat, eine Stadt mit einem einzigartigen Charakter zu entdecken und coole Kolleg:innen kennenzulernen. Vielen lieben Dank an dieser Stelle an die AC Almaty Familie ❤. Bis bald und frohe Weihnachten 🎄!

𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗿?

🍺 Many people are not aware that the term "lager beer" originates from the German word for cool storage, referring to beer matured in cellars - a method introduced by a Viennese master brewer!

In the 19th century, the Viennese master brewer Anton Dreher changed the art of brewing. By combining brewing techniques and using pale malt, he created the Viennese Lager - a beer with a characteristic amber colour and a balanced, malty, and hoppy taste.

This new beer was clearly different from the dark beers that dominated at the time and set new standards in terms of quality and flavour.

Wiener Lager spread rapidly and laid the foundations for many of today's popular beer styles, including Münchner Helles and even Pilsner. Its introduction marked an important point in the history of beer and made Vienna a centre of international brewing. The export success of Anton Dreher's brewery contributed to the worldwide popularity of pale lager beers.

Even today, the Viennese Lager is still of great importance. Craft breweries all over the world are drawing on the traditional recipes and reinterpreting them. Its harmonious profile makes it the ideal accompaniment for a variety of dishes and occasions.

Austrian Green Planet Building Award - Civiplex

🌿⚡ What if offices produced their own electricity? The 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘅 in Timişoara, Romania, does exactly that! Designed by Viennese firm Architekturbüro Reinberg ZT GmbH, the building is the latest recipient of the Austrian Green Planet Building Award 2024.

Architect Georg W. Reinberg transformed an existing property into a passive house-standard building, delivering both sustainability and employee well-being.

Its clever shading system ensures optimal sunlight in winter while reducing overheating in summer. Meanwhile, employees benefit from the building's surplus solar energy, which powers their electric cars for home use.

🌍🤝 Strengthening Ties Between Austria and Turkmenistan 🚀🇦🇹🇹🇲

The Austrian business delegation held fruitful meetings with representatives of Turkmenistan’s government bodies and private businesses at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat. 🌟 They also actively participated in the international conference “Construction, Industry, Energy of Turkmenistan 2024.” 🏗️⚡🌾

In Türkmenabat, a regional hub known for its vibrant textile, chemical, food, and construction industries, the delegation explored new avenues with local business leaders. 💼 The discussions highlighted Turkmenistan’s diverse products and services while paving the way for future partnerships. 🚀

The mission wasn’t just about business—an extensive cultural program added a special touch. Highlights included a visit to the Darvaza Gas Crater, famously known as the “Door to Hell.” 🔥🌌 This stunning natural phenomenon in the desert left the delegation in awe.
