Every year in the spring, the steppe is covered with thousands of tulips of different types and colors. This time people are happy, because the appearance of these flowers means the arrival of holidays, sun and warmth. The Persians dedicated poems to the beauty of tulips, the Turks gave their lives for them. The place where tulips appeared for the first time is considered to be the territory of modern Kazakhstan. More than 10 million years ago, an unusually beautiful flower resembling a headdress appeared in the foothills of the Tien Shan. Already from this region, the tulip has spread all over the world.

Karaganda is the city in 200km from Astana where you still may see Soviet architecture and spirit. Bridges play an important role in the urban landscape of the modern city and connect the right and left banks of the capital. The bridge was designed by architect Shu Yong. The building was constructed in classical Islamic style with traditional Kazakh ornaments. It can accommodate five thousand worshipers, and on holidays - up to 10 thousand people. The area of the mosque across more than 11 hectares and construction area of 17,700 square meters. Hazret Sultan has the largest dome in Kazakhstan with the height of 51 meters and a diameter at the base of the dome 28.1 meters. 4 minarets with the height of 77 meters are located in the corners of the mosque. According to the architectural plan, the temple should crown the 80-meter spire with a crescent directed strictly towards Mecca. The museum is located on the main square of the country - the Independence Square. The museum building is an eye catcher with its unusual external form. The largest unique museum complex has an area of 74,000 sq.m. and consists of seven blocks. The biggest concentration camp in USSR for country traitors’ wives and their children. You will visit the museum in 40km from Astana. This museum is located at the main building of concentration camp. Concentration camp was built in in 1938 and stopped functioning until the year of Stalin death in 1953. For 15 years, just as much as 20,000 women were brought to the camp from different regions of USSR.
