Laos is een prachtige reisbestemming. Luangprabang heeft fraaie tempels maar het Bolaven Plateau vond ik de mooiste plek tijdens mijn reis door dit land.

--- DON SOM RIVERSIDE GUESTHOUSE 5 YEARS OLD ---

Today Don Som Riverside Guesthouse 'celebrates' (unfortunately not really this time...) that we opened our doors 5 years ago. Unfortunately floods, the sad passing away of our father(in-law) and Covid19 shortened the real opened days to only about 3 years but still... A lot has happened and we had many happy guests and a lot of great days. Now things are different after 1 year and 7 months of closed borders for tourists....

If you feel like supporting us and others there are a couple of things you can do:

1. Tell your friends, family, travel buddies, pets or anyone else about us and your (hopefully great) time with us and that we are 'not the best but do our best to make you feel very welcome'.

2. Share, like, and reply to our messages and ask others to like our page maybe.

3. Book some nights at our guesthouse for 2022 (free cancellation for now and of course only when it's possible to come and visit us).

4. Take a look at the projects we started on Don Som island and in Ban Sot village on the mainland (https://www.facebook.com/donsomproject). Please like and follow the page if you are interested in it and consider a small (or huge ;-) kidding) donation to help us helping others to help themselves.

5. Stay healthy and come to visit us on Don Som in the future.

We are also promoting Laos in general via Travel2Laos (www.travel2laos.org and https://www.facebook.com/travel2laos), liking and following greatly appreciated.

We are thinking about some promotions for people to book, but as long as it's not clear when the borders open we wait with that....
