What a night to remember! The Electro Beach Party at Don Xing Xou on 2 March 2024 was nothing short of epic! 🎉 From the moment the sun dipped below the horizon, the beach came alive with pulsating beats, laughter, and pure joy.

Guests danced barefoot in the sand, under a star-studded sky, as the DJ spun an electrifying mix of tunes that kept everyone on their feet until the early hours of the morning. The energy was infectious, and time seemed to stand still as we lost ourselves in the music and the moment.

🌅🛶 sharing A Sunrise Kayaking Experience to Remember with 8 Mekong Immersive Tour by Heather McDermott 🛶🌅

I knew Vientiane had more to offer but I just couldn’t find it. I’ve lived here for 4 months and have seen tourists and local pass through the usual sites and cafes. Taking one or two days to see Vientiane 🌄✨.

I’ve been watching the river, wondering how I get out there to paddle.

Thankfully I met the team at FACNS Travel (www.8booking.la) and, this weekend, I found out that it’s not only possible, but it’s incredible.

It’s a truly local experience.

I arrived at the launch site, a farm on the banks of the river in downtown Vientiane and made my way down to the river. The facilities are new and clean, the resident dogs are friendly and curious.

I started paddling in the morning at first light. The river was calm and there was a slight breeze. I paddled upstream past the locals going about their daily routines. Friendly waves hello and big smiles (Laos really is the friendliest place) 🚣‍♂️🌳 .

I counted 3 temples and got into the rhythm of paddling - bird watching - people watching - the activity on the river bank.

I turned around upstream and paddled easily back to the launch site. All the way planning my next trip.
Sunset would be amazing, I can’t wait for a sunrise paddle with hot coffee waiting afterwards 🛶🌅.

What made the experience even more remarkable was the professionalism and warmth of the FACNS Travel team. Their expert guides were not just knowledgeable about kayaking but also shared insightful stories about the Mekong River and Vientiane.
