إن التعميم رقم ٢/٢٢ الذي صدر بتاريخ ٢٠٢٢/٨/١١ موجه إلى شركات الطيران مباشرة ولا علاقة للمسافرين من مطار بيروت به ولا يرتب عليهم أي أعباء مالية إضافية، وهو يصحح موضوع التحصيل الذي كان قائماً قبل صدور القانون الجديد عن مجلس النواب اللبناني ، حيث كانت شركات الطيران تقوم بتحصيل ضريبة المغادرة من المسافرين بالدولار الأميركي بدلا من الليرة اللبنانية وفقا للقانون السابق ، وكانت تستفيد شركات الطيران من الفرق بين سعر صرف الدولار الرسمي والسعر في السوق الموازي ، لذلك جرى صدور قانون جديد يحدد ضريبة المغادرة بالدولار الأميركي كما تتقاضاها شركات الطيران من المسافرين ، وعليه فلا يرتب هذا الإجراء أي إضافة عما كان يدفعه المسافر لشركات الطيران قبل هذا التعميم ، ولا يجب أن يؤدي إلى زيادة على تذاكر السفر من مطار بيروت الدولي.

"Emirates categorized a number of US airports unsafe announcing an immediate shut down of services from Dubai to 9 US gateways.
This decision may have a snowball effect on dozens of international and even US based airlines.

The reason is not COVID-19 but 5G

Emirates, Qatar Airways, Etihad and Turkish Airlines are all major connecting carriers with transit passenger from around the globe.

Dubai based Emirates Airlines took a bold step in just announcing the cancellation of all flights from Dubai to Boston (BOS), Chicago (ORD), Dallas Fort Worth (DFW), Houston (IAH), Miami (MIA), Newark (EWR), Orlando (MCO), San Francisco (SFO) and Seattle (SEA).
Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airlines made similar announcements of canceling flights on Boeing 777 and B787 aircraft from Japan to the United States.
The reason is the 5G rollout by US Communication companies.
The Federal Aviation Administration said Friday that 5G interference could delay systems like thrust reversers on Boeing 787s from kicking in, leaving only the brakes to slow the plane."
