The Academic University for Non-violence & Human Rights - AUNOHR was founded as an independent higher education under the Lebanese law (Ministerial Decree no/487/ date 04.09.2014).

The legacy of AUNOHR is based on
33 years of pioneering experience of its founders, on theoretical and practical level, and is considered as a first-of-its-kind in Lebanon and the region and unique on international level. The AUNOHR project was launched in 2009, with an objective to remain, for generations to come, a professional academic incubator and for constructive social change. Teaching and disseminating the culture of peace and non-violence became an existential need, a horizon, in the Arab region as well as in the whole world, whereas there is a lack of specialists, educators, trainers and mediators, with high level of professionalism in these issues, in order to undertake this challenging work at the academic level in particular and in governmental and community decision making in general. Language of teaching: Arabic. Many lectures are delivered by foreign languages with simultaneous translation. Note: projects, exams and thesis could be delivered in Arabic, English or French. AUNOHR offers three levels of formation:
1. Master Degrees MA,
2. University Diploma UD which consists of the same Master curricula without the Thesis.
3. Distinctive and innovative Training certificates among which unique ones through its specialized Training and Development Center. Certificates encompasses one of the master courses or customized material from one of these courses. Course offerings
All courses consist of 3 academic credits, 15 contact hours each, totaling 45 contact hours. Courses are available all year thru under two different tracks (calendar to be assigned):
1. Over 15 weeks, one session (3 hours) per week,
2. Summer intensive courses over 7 full days. Candidates to the Master Degrees need to be holders of a Bachelor’s degree of various specialties and horizons along with two-year professional experience.
2. Candidates to the University Diploma UD do not need to be holders of a Bachelor degree.
3. Candidates to the Training certificates do not need to be holders of any Bachelor degree. Fees
