Green Mind NGO is very pleased to announce the launch of the6th Bikeathon Lebanon event that is coming this year in a very distinctive edition to reinforce the mission of calling for the creation safe and decent cycling lanes in the country, whilst embracing important humanitarian causes, a “Border to Border” edition. The “Border to Border” edition of the Bikeathon Lebanon is a trip where two main
profile bikers will travel Lebanon from border to border Friday 24July 2015 to Monday July 27 ,2015). The bikers will be traveling for a cause, and will be accompanied by a team of the Lebanese Cycling Federation, media, and event sponsors’ representatives if interested. The Border to Border trip will be the center of attraction of media and TVs for a week, and mainly the LBCI TV that will be following the bikers from the big Departure in the North from Qobayat , to the several stops done at the Lebanese villages, and until the big Arrival. The event will be covered by the LBCI through the following methods:
✓ Coverage of the Arrival and the Departure through inclusion in the evening news bulletin
✓ Coverage of daily trip news / stops through inclusion the evening news bulletin – Sports Section
✓ Coverage of the event through Documentary reports will be published on LBCI
As every year, and in addition to its main mission of calling for the creation of cycling lanes in the country, Green Mind will embrace a humanitarian cause to raise awareness for and share the exposure. This cause will be equally stressed on during the event, and one of the profile bikers may be a committed supporter, an involved personality, or someone facing the challenges of this disability. The bikers will be heading from the North to the South of Lebanon, passing by several Lebanese villages, the municipalities of which will be supporting the event through maintaining the bike lanes. Many of the stop villages will also be welcoming the bikers in their own celebrative and supporting ways.
