Lucia, the SLHTA is responsible for facilitating tourism sector development and management. The SLHTA is a private non-profit membership organization that functions as the “official organization and national spokesperson” for the hospitality Industry and its wide membership. The Association has a grouping of over two hundred members covering a wide segment of the economic spectrum of St. Lucia to

include the tourism, retail & wholesale distribution, agriculture and other services sectors. The SLHTA is dedicated to representing, informing, educating and upholding the interests of its membership within the tourism sector, which has earned it the reputation as the “Voice of the Hospitality Industry”. The SLHTA’s declared vision is: “To be the leading catalyst for developing St. Lucia as the best island destination in the world.”

The 2024 Saint Lucia National Culinary Team was officially unveiled on Wednesday, October 30th 2024, during a grand press launch hosted by the Saint Lucia Hospitality and Tourism Association. 🇱🇨

The talented group has been hard at work, preparing to showcase their culinary talents at the highly anticipated Taste of the Caribbean competition, slated for November 18-20th, 2024, in Miami, Florida.

Saint Lucia’s Nina Compton launches first Cookbook! 🇱🇨

The SLHTA congratulates Honorary Member Chef Nina Compton on the launch of her debut cookbook, Kwéyòl / Creole: Recipes, Stories, and Tings from a St. Lucian Chef’s Journey.

Set to be released in April 2025, the book chronicles the award-winning chef’s thrilling culinary journey from Saint Lucia to Jamaica, Miami and her adopted home of New Orleans.

“It isn’t easy to make a book that draws from so many experiences and cultures, but that is my life and that is my food, and so that is also this book. I am so proud of what we accomplished here. I can’t wait for you to read it and cook these recipes,” Compton stated.

Written in collaboration with award-winning writer Osayi Endolyn, the book will be published by Clarkson Potter and is available for preorder now.
