Tips for finding amazing places to stay in St.Lucia !

YouTube , see where your fav travel couples have stayed and look at videos of what the accommodation and location looks like !

Ask friends who have visited where they stayed and if they liked it ! Then review the location on YouTube !

Have you ever thought of Climbing the Pitons when you get here but being worried that it will end up making you too exhausted because of how tall they are ?

Or maybe you have bad knees and the thought of coming down the Pitons just makes your knees scream for help …(me 🤦🏿‍♀️)

Maybe you don’t want to lose an entire day on island just climbing the pitons and then recovering because you’re not here for long?

Well you’re not alone … and the 2500 feet volcanic plugs called the Pitons can’t be climbed by everyone …

Apart from a helicopter ride , the second best alternative is climbing the Tet Paul Nature Trail in Soufriere !

It takes 1/5 of the time it takes to climb the Pitons for almost the same amazing views of various parts of the island and the sea..

The other awesome thing about this 45 minute walk /hike is that you get to see views of both of the Pitons and Mount Gimie which is the tallest mountain on island ..

While not becoming so exhausted that you can’t do other activities around because you’re trying to recover from climbing the Pitons .

It’s located in Soufriere and you get to see lots of awesome local flowers , local medicinal plants and learn about the culture of the people who live near by which makes you feel like you’re getting to know the real St.Lucia ..

There are awesome views all along the way but When you get on-top to the views of the World Heritage Pitons and Mount Gimie … you’ll feel like you’re in heaven .

The walk becomes totally worth it … you may not even want to return back to your taxi van right away !

Its views you’ll never see again from angles you’ll never see again , with picture opportunities you’ll never get anywhere else but there !

One of the BESt beaches in St.Lucia in my opinion as a local !It’s cleanThe visibility is superb There are reefs for great diving and snorkeling Not too far from Marigot bay , Gros Islet or Soufriere !To get to the this beach you need to pass through a short 2 minute trail . Or you can get access by parking at the hotel in the location , but this comes with a fee ..Since the area is predominately unspoiled , the only houses there belong to the resort it normally uncrowded which makes it great for relaxing .. has silver / black sand which can get hot during the sunnier part of the day so beach shoes are recommend ..Also bring mosquito repellant and reef friendly sunscreen! Carry snacks if you do not wish to purchase food from the resort . You can carry some towels to lay on or pay for beach chairs .Best ways to get there is with a local guide like myself via a vehicle that isn’t low or via water taxi .

If you’re looking to try different cuisine while in stlucia … Rodney Bay in the north of the island is definitely a great choice ..

Not only do you have the various restaurants at your hotel to choose from , you have local food trucks to sample food from , local food bars , and other restaurants that serve all types of cuisine to indulge in ..

The widest array of places to eat in terms of style of cuisine can be found there ..

Plus the local sea food at the Gros islet Friday night street party … great for someone who like to try new things !

So if that sounds like something you’d love to do during your vacation here staying in Rodney bay would definitely be a plus for you …

One of the cool things you can do in St.Lucia if you’re interested in staying at a resort but had to choose a cheaper one because you can’t afford it is to :

Purchase a day pass for the resort you originally wanted

You won’t be able to sleep over but you’re allowed to spend the day and usually use the amenities at the resort .

So you can still get the experience of staying there without breaking the bank .

So one of the most fun things you can do if you don’t want to stay in your hotel for the entire day ..

But you don’t want to go on an exhausting excursion for the entire day either is to do a SUNSET CRUISE !

It’s usually only two hours ..

It can be done in the north or south depending on the company and your location on island ..

It’s totally awesome being in the water with other people having fun, dancing, eating , connecting over great conversation ..

And you get the catch the sunset from the best angle .. right on the sea!

So get you to do something fun and lovely with your partner or family but it doesn’t take the whole day and involve long drives !

This snake is such a polarizing snake that it always cracks me up to see the different reactions of guests when we arrive to this …

It’s a boa constrictor .. non venomous.. it one of the few snakes on island .

Usually found at the looking point before the village of Canaries ..on the way to Soufriere ..

Some people are always eager to touch us and told it

And others , no matter what you tell they they won’t go near it ..

At the end of the day … it’s a little local experience that you’ll definitely remember ..

So usual , you leave a tip after touching the snake and or snapping photos with it ..

Fight your fears .. sometimes holding the snake becomes a catalyst for overcoming other fears you may have !

I hate feeling cold .. most times I rather bathe in warm water than cold water ..

Thankfully naturally warm water can be found at many beautiful locations in st.lucia
