Our garden was created to show guests visiting Sri Lanka wealth and benefits of the plants growing here, especially aromatic spices, as well as to enable contact with natural Ayurvedic medicine using its properties. Spices are well known and widely used around the world, but in most countries we find them only in the form of powder, packed into a paper bag, available in every major market. However
, Sri Lanka is one of the largest manufacturers of spices, where they occur naturally in large quantities and original forms. Visiting our garden during holiday on the island is a unique opportunity to see and learn where does the vanilla stick comes from before we can taste it in the ice cream, how cinnamon tree looks like before it enrich the taste of apple pie, to look at closely at the pepper seeds or cloves and to find out which plants can give us relief from cough, insomnia, unwanted hair, muscle and joints pains and many other problems.
