We hit the jackpot with Ran! His communication prior to the trip was prompt and very helpful and from the minute we landed till we said goodbye we felt like friends! His van is very comfortable with great air con! He showed us parts of Sri Lanka we would not have found ourselves. He would do as much or as little as we wanted each day, he would translate for us as well. He is not just a driver but a guide would specialise is wildlife! He was not the cheapest quote I had but I’m so pleased I went with him as everything was included, tolls, parking etc and he did not take us to any tourist trap shops (unless we asked) . I highly recommend Ran and will be back again!

Él te asesora con las mejores excursiones y absolutamente resuelve todas tus dudas, se adapta al plan de viaje, es muy amable t buena persona nos hemos sentido mi hijo y yo protegidos y agusti, además es licenciado en budismo y sabe muchas cosas, experiencias con locales maravillosas y siempre pendiente de nosotros. No pide dinero a cuenta en ningún momento.

My partner and I have just returned from our holiday having spent two weeks travelling the central and southern regions of Sri Lanka with Ran. We were uncertain about what to expect with an unfamiliar driver Guide accompanying us, however, it’s safe to say any apprehensions we had disappeared the moment we met Ran at the airport.

Ran proved to be exceptional in every aspect of his role ensuring our trip was unforgettable. Punctual, knowledgeable, respectful, and kind, he brought a wealth of experience about Sri Lanka, which he eagerly shared. Beyond his safe and comfortable driving, Ran enhanced our Sri Lankan experience, guiding us to hidden gems, steering clear of tourist traps, and helping create the perfect holiday for us.

He was great at suggesting reccomendations, was generous in sharing his knowledge around the wildlife to us and remained entirely professional for the whole two weeks. His language skills are hugely impressive and we often found Ran translating on our behalf to ensure we got the best experience. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Ran, whether it be enhancing your own itinerary or allowing him to manage the entire trip, Ran is a credit to his industry.

Ran Holidays - Sri Lankan Experience - An exceptional driver Guide and adventure!

Myself and my girlfriend recently embarked on a two-week adventure through the breathtaking landscapes of Sri Lanka, and the experience was made truly extraordinary thanks to our exceptional driver and tour guide, Ran. From the moment we landed at the Airport until our departure, Ran went above and beyond to ensure our trip was seamless, enjoyable, and culturally enriching.

Ran’s extensive knowledge of Sri Lanka’s history, culture, and geography was evident from the start. He provided fascinating insights into each destination we visited, making the journey not only visually stunning but also intellectually stimulating. His passion for his country shone through in every anecdote, turning each drive into an informative and engaging session. He has a particularly strong understanding of Sri Lanka’s flora and fauna, and it was fascinating joining him on a short safari tour through Udawalawe National Park where he was able to point out some wonderful animals.

Ran was always prompt and ready to kick-start our daily adventures, ensuring we maximized our time exploring the diverse attractions of Sri Lanka, though giving us options and flexibility in terms of when we wanted to start each day. On days when we simply wanted to chill out and relax by the beach (which was a big part of the second half of our trip) Ran left us to our own devices but was always on hand if we needed his help with anything at all. Whether navigating bustling city streets or winding through scenic mountain roads, his skillful and safe driving (in stark contrast to some of the truly insane bus drivers in here) and calm demeanor instilled confidence and allowed us to relax and enjoy the mesmerizing views.

One of the standout qualities of Ran was his genuine concern for our comfort and satisfaction. He tailored the itinerary to our preferences, introducing us to hidden gems off the beaten path and adjusting plans based on our interests. His recommendations for local restaurants, where we indulged in delectable Sri Lankan cuisine, added a delicious layer to our cultural immersion. In particular, he went the extra mile in ensuring we were able to take the Nuwara Eliya to Ella train journey. He took us to the Nano Oya train station early in the day, managed to procure some third class tickets for us (which we had seen were sold out for pre-purchase) and even rushed on to the train ahead of us to secure two seats for myself and my girlfriend so that we could have a comfortable journey before disembarking and driving on to Ella. This was massively appreciated, and a true highlight of the trip.

In summary, our two-week adventure in Sri Lanka was an unforgettable experience by the exceptional services of Ran. His professionalism, knowledge, and genuine warmth set him apart as a top-tier driver and tour guide. We wholeheartedly recommend his services to anyone seeking a truly enriching and memorable exploration of the beautiful island of Sri Lanka. Thank you Ran for making our journey so special!
