Green Hills of UVA
The mountains of UVA create the eastern ridge of Sri Lanka's Central Highlands. Dense forests belongs to Namunukula mountain range is usually covered with mists and clouds. Peak Namunukula is 2036m high from mean sea level. Forest is rich in biodiversity.
Lower terrains of the mountain range is covered with tea plantations. Slopes of Namunukula range largely contributes to the special tea region of Sri Lanka : Uva. It has unique taste and usually stay in elite range at Ceylon tea auction.
All together, this gives and breathtaking views and easily enchant anyone who witnessed this magic.
Here we are at Passara village which is not common to both local and foreign tourists in Sri Lanka. Save an extra day in your itinerary. Give it a try. Explore the less traveled Sri Lanka.
