Adventure tour (6 DAYS TOUR)
1st day: Colombo/Kitulgala
We will pick you up from the Bandaranaike International Airport and we will start our adventure trip in Sri Lanka. Our first stop is Kitulgala, a riverside town surrounded by lush jungle that has two claims to fame: being the location for the Oscar-winning epic Bridge on the River Kwai and the main white-water rafting centre in Sri Lanka. Check in our hotel and overnight.

2nd day: Kitulgala/Nuwara Eliya
AAfter breakfast, we will enjoy a high adrenaline pumping “White Water Rafting” in Kelani River, one of the longest rivers in Sri Lankan, which is a graded 2-3 rapid. This activity is for anyone above the age of 10 years with safety gear, modern rafts, and a comprehensive safety briefing will be given by our white water rafting instructors beforehand. The distance covered is around 5 KM. You could experience the fascinating view of the surrounding forest while rafting and when you are in the calm waters you could let yourself float while enjoying the scenic beauty. At the end of the rafting tour you can enjoy a river bath.
Then we are going to Nuwara Eliya, Little England as they call her, where we are going to spend the night.

3rd day: Nuwara Eliya/Horton Plains/Rathnapura
We rise very early to travel to Horton Plains. Horton plains is located on a high windswept saddle at 2134 meters elevation, these plains are hard to reach. Many visitors come to see “World’s End” situated on the plains. High up in the central hills of the island lies a series of vast open plains and jungle covered cliffs of awesome height & ice cold, crystal clear streams, pools and waterfalls. And named as Horton Plains as a respect to the then British Governor of Sri Lanka Sir Horton and it is the only place where you could see the bear monkey. This is one of world’s best nature tracks. And certain plant species, birds and insects you see them only at Horton Plaines. Nature lovers will enjoy this wide, patna-grass-covered plain, the haunt of several wild yet harmless animals and the home of many species of birds. The whole tour is about 3 hours walking.
In the afternoon we continue our tour to Rathnapura, a famous trading centre for the area’s ancient wealth of gemstones. Overnight.

4th day: Rathnapura/Sinharaja Forest/Unawatuna
After breakfast, enjoy a half day trekking and bird trail in the Sinharaja rain forest. Sinharaja is a great location for general wildlife enthusiasts and a must for bird watchers. Sinharaja, which translates as ‘Lion King’, covers an area of nearly 19,000 hectares close to the gem-mining town of Rathnapura, and consists of natural rain forest as well as introduced species, such as teak and mahogany.
This forest is considered to be one of the best birding sites in Sri Lanka with 22 out of Sri Lanka’s 26 endemic birds having been sighted here, and large mixed flocks providing an unusual spectacle. Even the less experienced birder would hope to see 10-15 endemics during their stay; highlights include the red-faced malkoha, Green-billed Coucal and Sri Lanka Blue Magpie. Reptiles include the endemic Green pit viper and Hump-nosed vipers, and there are a large variety of amphibians, especially tree frogs. Invertebrates include the endemic Common Birdwing butterfly and the inevitable leeches.
Late in the afternoon we continue our trip to Unawatuna, famous for the beautiful beach. Overnight.

5th day: Unawatuna/Pitiwella/Hikkaduwa
We are having our breakfast and then we are going for diving/snorkeling as the place offering breathtaking opportunities for sea lovers. Early in the afternoon we move to Pitiwella, where we are going to do cycling for about 15km. Our recommended tour takes you through the villages and cinnamon plantations, next to the Gin gaga river and through many cows that will just ignore your presence.
It is the ideal place for cycling as the country roads are easy to ride and the landscape will steal your heart.
We are going to spend the night to the famous Hikkaduwa – well-known for the night life and the nice restaurants.
6th day: Hikkaduwa/Bentota/Colombo
After breakfast we are going to Bentota. The area is home to some of the best beaches in all the country. There we are going to do Elephant ride on the beach. After that you will have time for water sports, like waterskiing, Jet Ski and windsurfing.
After spending a nice day at the beach we will head back to Colombo, where we are going to finish this full with adventure trip.
