A writer, artist, architect and publisher, who like to cycle a little, stay in interesting accommodation, eat local food, take photos, change plans, sightseeing but no tourists and enjoy an afternoon drink are my kind of people. Most group's skip Colombo they booked the first 2 nights here, stating with a stroll around the Pettha (old market area,) ending with a gin & Tonic in the Harbor Bar. They did not want a plan, just something different each day, change of scenery, getting invited to someone’s house for lunch, buying a round of drinks in local bar. Talking to the tea pluckers or bathing in the river, just being natural and at one with the country.
