also known as "Ves Muhunu," which means "character face," are used in three (3) different contexts: religious ceremonies involving God and Demons, theatrical productions to increase the theatrical, visual, and symbolic impact of the character, and carnival, festive, or ceremonial masks.

Fun fact: Ceylon Cinnamon

The most valuable and significant spice produced in Sri Lanka is cinnamon. Prior to the development of contemporary food preservation techniques, Europeans preserved meat items using cinnamon and pepper. Due to its unique aroma and flavor, cinnamon is frequently found in baked goods, Asian cuisine, and flavored tea.

Sip of History!

The cultivation and production of tea in this region started in the British era. The export of tea from Sri Lanka (then Ceylon) quickly established its position as the finest in the world, supporting the colonial economy.

After discovering the presence of the nation's name on a tin or package consistently with an ensured quality of the tea, people all over the world became loyal consumers. New markets emerged as a result of independence, and production increased. Sri Lanka (then Ceylon) was the world's top exporter of tea in 1965.
