The concept of forming ‘Maldiviana’ came about in Winter 2003 with our Chairman's initiative to resume direct air services to Sri Lanka and Maldives from Russia, for the convenience of the Russian traveller to the two exotic destinations, and to offer the entire spectrum of travel service to Sri Lanka to the Russian traveller. We realized that success of the product relies mostly on the services o

nsite and the coordination between the point of origin and the destination. In view of this, we now have our operations in Moscow - Russia, Kiev - Ukraine, Colombo - Sri Lanka, and Male - Maldives, creating The MALDIVIANA GROUP. In August 2002 the Company ‘MALDIVIANA’ was incorporated in Moscow as the successor to the Tourist Company ‘Aitken Spence Ceylon’ which was in business since 1994. Following this, in 2004 ‘Maldiviana Aviation Pvt Ltd' and in 2005 ‘Maldiviana Holidays Pvt Ltd' were incorporated as limited liability companies to respectively carry out the businesses of the Airline Representation and as an Inbound Tour Operator in Sri Lanka under the regulations of the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka and the Sri Lanka Tourist Board.
