We are a relatively new startup company based in Colombo, Sri Lanka and we started operations in May of 2017. The core focus of our business is to provide a modern and safe scheduled transportation between major tourist hubs in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka is an island with a population of about 20 million and land area of 65,510 sq km. Also Sri Lanka had been engaged in a 30 year old civil war which ende
d in 2009, the war left much of Sri Lanka’s economy depleted and industries dilapidated. Since the war ended Sri Lanka’s tourism sector has witnessed significant growth and has the potential to be a key driver of Sri Lanka’s economy. The Government of Sri Lanka (GoSL) has been trying to promote public-private partnership to improve Sri Lanka’s infrastructure and transport systems, which is an interesting and fairly new concept for Sri Lanka. The tourism industry heavily depends on transportation systems & services, given the growth in tourism that Sri Lanka is experiencing it is more than likely the country will need significant investment and growth in transportation based services. Based on ministry level statements, GoSL is depending on public-private partnership to meet the growing transportation needs. We, our company is hoping to contribute and help the growth of Sri Lanka’s tourist industry by providing efficient, safe & quality scheduled transportation services.
