Katusu Konda Sri Lanka

Katusu Konda is a mountain peak found in Kandy's Hantana mountain range. It is named so because of the shape of a lizard's back. The trail to the Lizard's Back is not too difficult to walk. However, there are strong winds at the summit and the summit is also very narrow.



This hike is an adventure and the view down from the top of the Lizard Ridge is a dangerously steep slope. From the top of the Katusu Ridge, hikers can enjoy wonderful views of the Knuckles Range, University of Peradeniya, Kandy City, Monaragala, Alagalla and Hunnasgiriya.

The name “Gerandi” is given due to the resemblance of this waterfall to a slithering snake. The top 4 segments of the waterfall can be seen from the Mahiyangana Road. Kalugala Gerandi Ella Waterfall is difficult to hike since it consists of serious vertical segments.

Aberdeen Waterfall Ginigathhena Srilanka

Knuckles mountain range also known as Dumbara hills is located in the Central province of Sri Lanka in the two districts Matale and Kandy. Doric Bungalow Sri Lanka

The Doric Bungalow is located about 40 km south of Mannar Island. The Doric bungalow at Arippu was home to the first British Governor of Ceylon Frederick North, 5th Earl of Guildford, built between 1801 and 1804 in the early 19th century. This house was intended by the Governor to help revive Sri Lanka's pearl fishing industry.

The two story building was constructed using bricks and mortar though the exterior walls were decorated with chunam which was made from the lime of burnt oyster shells and was described as appearing like 'marble'.

Olu Ella is another beautiful waterfall in Sri Lanka. From Yatiyantota town, take the B482 Yatiyantota-Punugala-Meenagala road for a distance of 13-14 km and reach Olu Ella. It is located on the side of the road so you can drive near the waterfall. There is a wooden bridge near Olu Ella.During the colonial era, such a wooden bridge was used to transport tea leaves from the estates.

The road from Yatiyantota to Olu Ella runs through a rubber plantation to a mountainous area through a beautiful environment. The height of the waterfall is around 200m and it is considered to be the 5th tallest waterfall in the country in terms of height.

A section of rock outwards from the main ridge at the top of the mountain. That part brings to mind a peacock's head and neck at the top of a mountain. To get there, you must travel further along the rock and descend slightly. On the top of the hill, that is the most beautiful spot.

Idalgashinna Mountain srilanka

Hidden historical Purana Kadadora Viharaya - Kadadora in Kotmale | Nuwara Eliya District

Purana Kadadora Viharaya is also known as Kadadora Sri Priyabimbaramaya Vihara which was a Buddhist temple situated in Kadadora. The ruined Viharaya which can be seen when the water level of the Kotmale Reservoir is low but the sight is very rare.
