Na-Ella is a hidden beauty spot located in Knuckles Reserve, Sri Lanka. To get there, you first need to reach Kalugala village in Ududumbara. The climb is easy with the help of local tour guides.

The village itself is beautiful with scenic views of Yahangala. After a short walk through the village, you will find a narrow path leading into the forest. The scenery is breathtaking with sunlight filtering through the trees.

The climb leads to a small hut where your phone signal disappears. After a short rest, you will start your descent. There's a sign with an elephant depicting ‘Kosgollawatta’ marking the start of the descent.

There's a beautiful hidden waterfall with multiple floors along the way. You can climb to the top and enjoy the cool breeze. A delicious lunch of manioc is prepared by the guide to replenish your energy.

Na-Ella is a great place to visit for both men and women. Remember to be cautious as the path can be slippery. Avoid drinking and driving, and apply insect repellent to avoid lice bites. Camping is also a great option here, but be prepared for rain.

Lastly, remember to be a responsible tourist and protect the valuable ecosystem of Na-Ella.

Nil Diya Pokuna is a beautiful pond hidden in a mysterious setting. The adventure involves finding your way through a tunnel, into the largest underground cave discovered in the country, to find a very clean and stagnant pool of water, which adds to the uniqueness of the attraction.

The intricate passages of the pathways and the narrow openings of the stone make an intriguing trail. Moreover, the massive hallways and the darkness add to the thrill and horror of the journey. This is a journey that must be taken with great caution because even a slight mistake can be dangerous. Also, since this tunnel was designed to reach several other areas below the surface, you have to make sure you are treading on the right path. The entire adventure from start to end will take about 2 1/2 hrs

According to the epic Ramayana Legendary Tale, King Rawana abducted Goddess Sita and hid her in this cave. The story mentions that there were many tunnels under this rock that stretched for miles. Tunnels from Ravana Ella cave to the Bogoda Rajamaha Viharaya and Dowa Rajamaha Viharaya in Nuwara Eliya are still visible today. In fact, it is believed that the Nil Diya Pokuna tunnel was designed to reach several other areas that were hundreds of feet below the ground surface. These tunnels were closed under the protection of Police Special Task Force and are not accessible today.

This is an introduction to a Travel Documentary in which I am partnering up with Asmil, a skilled traveler who is well respected within the travel community in Sri Lanka. I will be joining him in his upcoming adventures to collect clips for the Documentary which will be published in December 2022. I have done a few mini-documentaries for my channel & I always wanted to do a proper documentary to challenge my skills as a filmmaker. So, I'm really looking forward to bringing this out to all of you. This whole shoot was done at the gorgeous location of Haritha Kanda, Bogawanthalawa also called the Little New Zealand of Sri Lanka. Story of a BushWalker

Hi there,

It all began with a young traveler born in hill countries of this beautiful island! Brought up by humble parents and pretty much at the young age he started traveling with his budies, down the rivers and through the bushes. All he felt was the nature surrounding him appealing to explore more.

Adding to that, #SriLanka is a land blessed with diversified climatic conditions. Travel for five to six hours straight and you are in a different climatic zone. That is exactly the type of fuel pumping all the travelers worldwide. So this young man started exploring the country starting from hill country and all the way down to coastal areas.

As time pass by, he understood that it is selfish to enjoy the nature alone! And he started to share his experience with friends, families and colleagues. That paved him the path to establish BushWalkers so that his experience will guide many travelers in discovering untouched grass.
