The Aberdeen Waterfall gets its water from the Kehelgamu Oya stream, which is a significant tributary of the Kelani River.
The waterfall was named after the city of Aberdeen, which is the third largest city in Scotland and the capital of the Aberdeenshire region.
To get to Aberdeen Falls from Ginigathena, you should take Ambatale Road until you reach the Buddha statue at the end of the road.

Dam is an arch dam which was constructed under the Accelerated Mahaweli Development Programme. It was constructed for irrigation and hydroelectric power production supporting a 210 MW power station. It is the tallest dam and largest hydroelectric power station in Sri Lanka. Construction of the Victoria Dam was completed in April 1985. It consists of 8 spill ways and created the Victoria Reservoir.

Nildiya Pokuna, located at a distance of 13.3 km from the Ella, is a great place to have an adventurous experience. Legend has it that King Rawana brought Sita from India and kept her in a very comfortable and very safe place. Many believe that the site is now a ruined underground palace complex filled with blue water. This is a very risky, well worth the trip. You too can have this experience as soon as possible, but do not ruin the place.

🌿🦋🐝🌿☘️Umandawa Global Buddhist Village (or Umandawa Maha Vihara Monastery) is a recently developed so-called Buddhist religious village operated by the controversial monk named Siri Samanthabhadra Thero who has self-proclaimed to have reached the stage of supreme bliss (Arahath stage) and operates under the name of Siri Samanthabhadra Maha Arahath Thero. Umandawa itself is marketed as a personal retreat for everybody.

Umandawa is open from 7 am to 5 pm on all days, for the whole week, throughout the entire year. The entrance is free for everyone. Esala Perahera (the of the tooth of Lord Buddha) is the grand festival of the month of August held in . It is very grand with elegant costumes. Happening in July or August in , it has become a unique symbol of Sri Lanka. It is a Buddhist festival consisting of and nicely decorated . There are fire-dances, whip-dances, dances and various other cultural dances. The elephants are usually adorned with lavish garments.
The Esala Perahera in Kandy is believed to be a fusion of two separate but interconnected "Peraheras" (Processions) – The Esala and . The Esala Perahera which is thought to date back to the 3rd century BC, was a ritual enacted to request the gods for rainfall. The Dalada Perahera is believed to have begun when the Sacred of the Buddha was brought to Sri Lanka from India during the 4th Century AD.

🎇🌃Unawatuna Devol Devalaya ( #වැල්ලේදේවාලය) Welle Dewalaya is a historic temple located in the coastal town of Unawatuna, Sri Lanka. The temple is situated on a small hill overlooking the Unawatuna beach and offers panoramic views of the surrounding area.

Welle Dewalaya is believed to have been built during the Kotte Kingdom era, which spanned from the 14th to 16th century AD.

The temple is dedicated to the goddess Pattini, who is believed to be a protector of the island and its people. Visitors to the temple can admire the intricate carvings and colorful paintings that adorn the walls and ceilings of the temple. There is also a large statue of the goddess Pattini, which is an important object of worship for devotees.

🐎🌴🏕Delft Island Fort – (ඩෙල්ෆ් බලකොටුව) Located by people of origin, Delft Island has a rich history and heritage from Chola dynasty, Dutch, Portuguese and British colonial period. Locally called as Nedunthivu (the island of cows), it was named as "Illha das Vaka" by the Portuguese and later renamed as Delft by the Dutch. During the colonial period, the island of Delft had strategic relevance. A fort and a lighthouse were built on the beach for surveillance.

Wild horses that are widely seen on the island are the true reflection of colonial past of the island. Portuguese introduced them back in 1600s and now they are iconic of the island. During the period of civil war the island was not accessible to tourists, yet managed to escape the conflicts unharmed and unaffected. It is a great place to embrace Mother Nature with so much to do such as bird watching and taking a stroll sinking in the beauty surrounding it. It is a naturally beautiful place with artistic landscaping and lush greenery. There are educational tours such as boat rides identifying different species of butterflies, dragonflies and damselflies. It is the perfect place for nature lovers.
Beddagana Wetland Park was declared open in the year 2016. The park covers 18 hectares of wetland surrounding the Diyawanna Oya Lake. It is considered to be a part of the much larger Diyawanna Oya flood plains Wildlife Sanctuary declared by the Department of Wildlife Conservation in 1985

🏕🏕 Hulangala mini world’s end is located at the southern end of the Knuckles Range in the Salagama Estate and can be reached from Kurunegala or Matale. This mountain is also called Navgala. From Kurunagala travel towards Dambulla to Thalgodapitiya Junction and turn towards Yatawatta Road. This is located on the border of the Kurunegala district. Those who like to climb mountains can climb Maduragoda in Kurunegala. Even though it is called Kurunegala, it is not Kurunegala but only the lower part of the hulangala in Kurunegala. The other part of Hulangala belongs to Matale.

The total distance from Kurunegala is about 40 km. In fact, it is located in the Kurunegala district, but at the bottom of the slope is the Matale district. Therefore, it is possible to climb this mountain in a vehicle in the middle of the Salagama estate. Many people climb this mountain in the middle of this estate. But the right belongs to Kurunegala. Mini world’s end is 760 meters (2500 ft) above sea level. However, Mount Hulangala rises to 1025 m (3360 ft). Go and experience the freedom and beauty that you get when you come to the top of this little world’s end. _ Sri lanka🦌
