Anil Bharathi, the singer for all seasons will be there at the golden Hits of 70s to take you on a memorable music journey.
Anil Bharathi is known as the Christmas singer of Sri Lanka from the good old 70s after recording his maiden evergreen Christmas song titled Bethlehemmpure written by Islandโs renowned songwriter and radio announcer Karunaratne Abeysekara.
Anil Bharathi, the lanky singer with a bass voice, started as a vocalist for the ever-popular Golden Chimes band, which was led by Clarence Wijewardena at that time. Clarence Wijewardena wrote and arranged music for the highly popular โAda Wai Hiru Dinaโ, Anilโs first original Sinhala pop song, which he recorded with the Golden Chimes on the Lotus recording label. โMa Adare Nnangiโ is another unforgettable mega hit song Anil recorded with Clarence and the Golden Chimes.

Golden Hits of 70's!
The golden girl of the original pop trio of Sri Lanka โ Indrani Perera will be there to take you on a memorable musical journey to the 70s.
From a young age Indrani Perera preferred going to church all dressed up to sing hymns. She started her singing career with the Fire Flies band of Dalrene Suby. In 1969, Indrani sang her first song Dilhani Duwani, which was previously voiced by Annesley Malewana. Then she was invited to join the popular musical band The Moonstones led by Clarence Wijewardena and Malewana. In December 1969, she along with Iranganie and Mallika and formed the female vocal group "Three Sisters".
In 2014, Indrani won the Soul Sounds Award for her contribution to the music industry. In 2019, The Janabhimani or Hela Maha Rawana Rajabhimani Awards Ceremony was held at the Jasmine Auditorium at the BMICH where Indrani won the Best Service Award.
