In recent days we went to Galle Fort and visited the old Dutch fort and chilled on the Mirissa beach in the evening. After a long time, the sun is shining in Mirissa. Today we went to Matara Mirissa to see the sunset from the cocunut tree hill and Weherahena Buddhist temple.

Thanks to Philip, Eva, Max and Rafi for recommending us to these awesome people in Spain's Canary Islands. From October 10 till now we traveled by train from Colombo to Kandy, Kandy city, Dambulla cave temple, Sigiriya, Pidurangala rock, Polonnaruwa, Kaudulla National Park, Haputale, Bambarakanda Falls, Haputale to Demodara train ride, Uva Halpe Tea Factory. We still have days left. More days to explore more of Sri Lanka.

Yala National Park is a huge area of forest, grassland and lagoons bordering the Indian Ocean, in southeast Sri Lanka. It’s home to wildlife such as leopards, elephants and crocodiles, as well as hundreds of bird species. Inland, Sithulpawwa is an ancient Buddhist monastery. Nearby caves contain centuries-old rock paintings. Southwest, Magul Maha Viharaya also has ancient Buddhist ruins. Both are pilgrimage sites.
