Day 9 of our "Around Sri Lanka" adventure with Cruise Knights MC! 🏍️🇱🇰
As we draw closer to the end of this incredible journey, the exhaustion is setting in. After riding for nearly 10 days straight, our energy is fading, but our spirit remains strong. We set off in the morning from Paymadoo, heading south towards the beautiful Kalpitiya Beach.
Arriving early, we set up camp by the beach, ready to enjoy a peaceful night. However, nature had different plans—a massive storm loomed in the distance, and we braced ourselves as it moved in. The storm hit hard with intense thunder and lightning, making it difficult to get much rest. Despite the risks of lightning, we stayed put, weathering the storm as it raged around us. This night under the storm was unforgettable, but it meant we couldn’t capture many photos of Day 9.
Today’s journey covered 140 km as we embraced one of the wildest nights of the tour.

Join us on Day 7 of our "Around Sri Lanka" adventure with Cruise Knights MC! 🏍️🇱🇰
We began our day early, setting off to explore every corner of the remote Delft Island. This secluded gem offered us a unique glimpse into Sri Lanka's rich history and natural beauty.
After leaving Delft on the boat, we made a special stop at the Nagadeepaya Temple, located on a different island called Nagadeepaya. This sacred site added a profound spiritual dimension to our journey.
By afternoon, we returned to the mainland, arriving in Jaffna. Our first stop was the Nallur Kovil, a place of deep spiritual significance. From there, we took the most scenic country roads, eventually crossing the Sangupiddi Bridge at sunset. The breathtaking view from the bridge was one of the most unforgettable moments of the trip.
As evening approached, we ventured towards Pooneryn. The challenging road conditions made the journey difficult, but four of our bikes persevered and completed the track under the night sky. The final leg of our ride to the Kal Munai Old Survey Tower was particularly risky and tough, but the sense of accomplishment made it all worthwhile.
Covering a total riding distance of 238 km, today’s journey was a testament to the spirit of exploration and the rewards that come with perseverance.
