Read the instructions and highlight the key phrases in the question before you listen.
Listen for signpost language:nevertheless,however,yet,although.They help you foresee what the speaker will say.
Try to get an idea of the situation:who are the speakers?Where are they?Why are they speaking?All Wh's

Ten vital facts for the writing paper
1 I could use accurate grammar: subject-verb agreement, accurate word formation and appropriate use of articles(a, an, the)
2. I could use a range of sentence structures.
3. I could use proper vocabulary.
4. I could use accurate spelling.
5. I could write the main idea for each paragraph and all the written points relate to the topic.
6. I could use ample connectives to maintain the flow.
7. Each paragraph is given appropriate examples.
8. My perspective is clearly written.
9 .My handwriting is legible.
10.I could write more than the given word count.

Tips for the listening paper
First look for the signposting language such as Secondly,first and foremost,most importantly..
In a map,process or flowchart pay attention to the beginning point.
In the filling the blanks question it is always necessary to guess the part of speech : nouun,adjective,adverb etcetera..Remember it is always necessary to keep listening to a variety of accents.
