Overnight at Kandy at Honey Pot Restaurant & Guesthouse where some of our tour clients stay. On the river with lovely outlook. Visited Kandy War Cemetery and Kandy centre. Had a fun night with the Honey Pot staff.

Dear Deb and Joseph
Thankyou doesn’t seem enough to say to you both for the wonderful care and attention you provided on our tour of Sri Lanka. We loved staying in the Guest Houses you booked for us. All of our hosts were friendly and caring and several cooked us amazing Sri Lankan dinners. When Alan developed painful bursitis in both his hips, Joseph seamlessly adapted our tour so that we could continue without interruption. Even our four wildlife safaris went ahead, with Joseph booking fabulous driver-guides and sometimes accompanying us.
Our goodbye was very emotional as I had no idea how we would cope with Alan’s painful condition while travelling. I needn’t have worried as Joseph had already arranged kerbside to plane door wheelchair assistance in Negombo and wheelchair assistance to meet us at the plane door when we landed in Melbourne.
Sri Lanka has left a lasting impression on us – the magnificent scenery, the exciting wildlife and national parks, the fascinating history, but most of all the smiling, friendly people, particularly Deb and Joseph. Without their willingness to quickly adapt to our needs and ensure we had everything required to continue our tour (even a pair of crutches for Alan) this may have been a different story.
We highly recommend Deb and Joseph at Olideb Sri Lanka Tours and Olideb Gedara Guesthouse.
