St Clair’s is one of the widest waterfalls in Sri Lanka and called the “Little Niagara of Sri Lanka”. It is a strikingly beautiful waterfall, which is approximately 80 meters in height and 50 meters in width. This waterfall runs over a rock ridge, splitting into three cascades, and drops into a pool. This beautiful falls are situated close to the town of Talawakele on the Hatton-Talawakele Highway in Nuwara Eliya District.

[Anzeige] The Royal Botanic Gardens, Peradeniya are only 5 km away of the city of Kandy in the Central Province of Sri Lanka and attracts millions of locals and foreigners each year. The total area of the botanical garden is 147 acres (0.59 km2) and was established in 1821, six years after the final occupation of the Kandyan Kingdom by the English. More than 4000 species of plants including woody trees, Palms, Ferns, Orchids and shrubs currently present within the gardens. I would recommend a visit in the morning right when the park opens or late in the evening when it’s about to close, so you get the place almost for yourself.
