Kandy asala perahara

The Kandy Esala Perahera is a grand cultural event held annually in Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is one of the most important and spectacular festivals in the country. The term "Perahera" means a grand procession, and the Esala Perahera is held to honor the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha, which is enshrined in the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy.

The festival usually takes place over several nights in July or August, coinciding with the full moon. The procession features beautifully decorated elephants, traditional dancers, drummers, fire performers, and various other cultural performances. The main elephant, adorned with an ornate costume, carries the sacred casket containing the tooth relic.

Devotees and tourists gather in large numbers along the streets of Kandy to witness this vibrant and colorful procession. The atmosphere is filled with the sounds of traditional music, chants, and the sight of beautifully lit streets.

The Kandy Esala Perahera is not only a religious event but also a significant cultural celebration that showcases the rich heritage and traditions of Sri Lanka. It attracts visitors from around the world who come to witness this magnificent spectacle.

I just arrived in Sri Lanka, to help the country which helped me! Meanwhile, I am here, I will work on an important project in Sri Lanka to feed people in the villages.

During these most challenging times in Sri Lanka where the country facing fuel, food, and medical crisis - millions of Sri Lankas barely can think about 3 meals a day. As a content creator, Sri Lanka has done so much for me and in return, this is the least I can do to support the country during these days.

Therefore I am working with the Foundation of Goodness which is already doing a tremendous job to support the locals in the villages despite the tsunami accident, c.o.v.i.d, and the current crisis. All the funds collected will be transferred directly to the charity account.

Так, вход в Сигирию («львиная скала» в переводе с сингальского) лежит через прорезанный в скале проход между монументальной парой львиных лап.
