Launching of Wildlife Crime Reporting Mobile App

CES and SAWC have long been at the forefront of environmental conservation efforts in Sri Lanka. Recognizing the escalating threat of wildlife crime, we have initiated the development of an innovative mobile application that will empower citizens to report incidents of wildlife crime in real-time, providing crucial data to law enforcement agencies and conservation organizations.
The wildlife crime reporting app will have a user-friendly interface, enabling users to capture and submit essential information such as photographs, geolocation, and incident details. This data will then be instantly relayed to relevant authorities, facilitating timely response and investigation. The app will serve as a powerful tool to combat wildlife trafficking, poaching, and other illegal activities threatening the rich biodiversity of Sri Lanka.

𝗪𝗜 was established as a sister company of 𝗖𝗘𝗦 to support the research & conservation initiatives of 𝗖𝗘𝗦, while facilitating national and international responsible eco-cultural tourism initiatives.

The Video covers 𝗖𝗘𝗦 and the Field Research Base in 𝗗𝗶𝘆𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮, 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘆𝗮, Sri Lanka and provides an introduction to 𝗖𝗘𝗦, the Integrated Resource Management Project of the Community Environment Initiative Facility (Ministry of Environment & Natural Resources), Biodiversity and Conservation initiatives and the Academic Tourism component.
