කුරුඳු බීජ ගබඩාකර වසර පුරා පැළ නිෂ්පාදනය කරමු

කුරුඳු පැළ සඳහා වසර පුරා ම ඉල්ලුමක් තිබ්බත් බීජ හටගන්නේ බොහෝවිට වසරකට වරක් පමණක් නිසා එම බීජ වලින් වසර පුරා ලබාදීමට පැළ නිෂ්පාදනය කිරීම කළ නොහැකි කාර්යයක් වේ. එයට හේතුව කුරුඳු බීජ ඉතා ඉක්මනින් වියලි තත්ත්වයට පත් වී ජීව්යතාවය නැති වී යාම යි. විශාල පැළ ප්රමාණයක් එකවර නිෂ්පාදනය කර වසර පුරා ලබාදිය හැකි පරිදි එය නඩත්තු කරමින් තවානේ පවත්වාගැනීම ද වියදම් අධික කටයුත්තකි.
මේ හේතුවෙන් අප දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවට අයත් මාතර පිහිටි ජාතික කුරුඳු පර්යේෂණ හා පුහුණු ආයතනය විසින් කුරුඳු බීජ ගබඩා කිරීමේ හැකියාව පර්යේෂණාත්මකව සොයාබලන ලදී. ඒ අනුව යම්කිසි කාලයක් සඳහා කුරුඳු බීජවල ජීවයතාවය 80% ප්රමාණයකට සාර්ථකව පවත්වාගත හැකි ක්රමයක් හඳුන්වාදෙන ලදී. එම ක්රමය පහත පරිදි ය.
1. හොඳින් ඉදුණු නිරෝගී, පොත්ත කළු පැහැයට හුරු දම් පැහැති ගෙඩි සපයා ගන්න.
2. ඒවා සම්පූර්ණ දිනක් සෙවණ සහිත පිරිසිදු ස්ථානයක ගොඩගසා තබන්න. (වසා තැබීම අවශ්ය නැත)
3. ඉන්පසු කුරුඳු ගෙඩියේ පොත්ත සහ කොල පැහැති මාංසල කොටස ඉවත්වන තෙක් හොඳින් සෝදාගන්න.
4. සෝදාගත් බීජ පිරිසිදු උපස්තරයක් මත තුනීකර බීජවල තෙත බේරීමට හරින්න.
5. ඉන්පසු ටෙබුකොනසොල් (Tebuconazole) නම් දිලීර නාශකයේ 0.05% ද්රාවණයක් සාදාගෙන ඊට තෙත ඉවත් වූ කුරුඳු බීජ එක්කර විනාඩි 30 - 45 පමණ කාලයක් ගිල්වා තබන්න. එම කාලය තුල 3 - 4 වරක් බීජ මිශ්ර කළ යුතු ය.
(ටෙබුකොනසොල් දිලීර නාශකය වෙළෙඳපොලේ ෆොලිකර් යන නමින් හෝ ඊට ආසන්න වෙනත් නමකින් යුක්ත වේ. 0.05% ද්රාවණය සාදාගන්නේ ජලය ලීටර් 10 ක් තුල ෆොලිකර් මි.ලී. 5 ක් දියකර ගැනීමෙනි)
6. ඉන්පසු ද්රාවණය බේරා හැර හොඳින් වාතාශ්රය සහිත පිරිසිදු ස්ථානයක උපස්තරයක් මත එම බීජ තුනීකොට වියලි කාලගුණයක් සහිතනම් දින 4 - 5 කාලයක් හෝ තෙතමන කාලගුණයක් සහිතනම් දින 6 - 7 පමණ කාලයක් පවනේ වියලා ගැනීම කළ යුතු ය.
මෙසේ වියලන කාලය තුල දිනකට වරක් හෝ දෙවරක් මෙම බීජ මිශ්රකල යුතු ය.
7. ඉන්පසු තරමක ඝනකම සහිත සෙලොෆෙන් පැකට්වල බීජ කිලෝ 5 ක් හෝ ඊට අඩු ප්රමාණ බැගින් එක්කර මුද්රාතබා ගබඩා කිරීම කළ යුතු වේ.
8. ගබඩා කිරීමේ දී හොඳින් වාතාශ්රය සහිත පිරිසිදු සිසිල් ස්ථානයක තැබිය යුතු ය. බීජ පැකට් ගබඩාකර තබන කාලය තුල ඒවා නිතර නිරීක්ෂණය කිරීම හා පෙරලීම සිදුකල යුතු ය.
මේ ආකායට මාස 4 ත් 6 ත් අතර කාලයක් කුරුඳු බීජ කල්තබාගත හැකි වේ. එනම් නිසි කළමනාකරණයක් සහිත තවානක වසරකට දෙවරක් කුරුඳු පැළ නිපදවාගැනීමට මෙම ක්රමය උපයෝගීකරගත හැකි වේ. එමඟින් වසර පුරා පැළ නිෂ්පාදනයත් අලෙවියත් සිදුකල හැකි අතර කල්තබාගත් බීජ අලෙවියෙන් අමතර ආදායමක් ලබාගැනීමට ද අවස්ථාව ඇත.
