Over 200's of Elephants cross the road

This elephant was the biggest that we've seen in Minneriya National Park.

Temple of the Tooth is in Kandy which is in the last seat of Sinhalese kings. It houses the sacred tooth relic of the Buddha and originally dated back to 16th century. The golden roofed temple is visited by locals and foreign tourists bearing flowers and incense daily throughout the day and night. Here visitors can observe poojas (offerings) the ancient traditions of drumming and sacred chanting in honour of the tooth relic , being performed several times each day.
