I was glad to have great travel partner and explorers. They never said no, get the challenge and we work together to conserve hill country leopards. It is sad to see leopards are killing again over the hills. We done this explorations over Bopaththalawa mountains to the Great Open Plains. It was really - really challenging with mountain bikes. But we made it.

Trekking through the mountains

This trekking was done while ago with the nice Team members of TT. We went on exploration hike for searing the mysterious history of Great Rawana. This is the Ravan Gala. Believed the place landed his aero-ship. Below the mountain is Ginigath-hena. Name came because the village burnt due to the trials of the ships take offs.

I am blending with adventurous, silliness, adrenaline feelings while passing Great Western Railway Station and mountains. We lost nearly 40hours while in a hiking with Young University Explorers Club. I am always grateful these people who voluntarily came and rescued us. One old lady came to me with a cup of hot herbal drink and said 'dont waste your money like this while risking your life-please give those to people like us to survive' while serving the tea. It was something heartfelt for me, which drove me on sustainable developments and share tourism benefits with people who need supports.
