Everyone likes to receive gifts, and most of humanity enjoys giving them too. 🎁 Instead of quickly ordering something found online, it’s much more satisfying to know the exact journey of the gift, from the idea 💡 to the wrapping and delivery.

Fall in Love with Fall in Kaunas: Sports, Fine Dining and Street Art

So you are into sports while your significant other prefers live music; you want burgers, and they demand gourmet options. Your dream tempo is 20,000 steps a day, while they dream of a spa session. These and many more combos are totally possible in one weekend in Kaunas, Lithuania.

Located in Northern Europe, Lithuania is a perfect country for those who prefer cooler travel times but are not really into Arctic vibes. The Oak Grove Library Ąžuolyno biblioteka is one of the four most impressive libraries in the world! 🎉

Along with three other finalists, the Oak Grove Library has been nominated for the prestigious International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) Baker & Taylor 2024 "Best Public Library of the Year" award. 🏆

Sixteen libraries from ten different countries competed for the award this year. After a long and rigorous judging process, the IFLA jury selected nominees that stood out for their innovative approaches to architecture, sustainability, and cultural inclusion. The Oak Grove Library was one of them, alongside Australia's Yellamundie Library and Gallery, and China's Beijing and North Shenzhen libraries. Congratulations!

Kaunas is seeking adventurous tourists who are ready to step out of their comfort zone and enjoy adventures and gifts

If there isn't a word for something good, Kaunas creates one. That’s how terms like 'kaunastic' and 'NATOstogos' came to be. As World Tourism Day approaches, the city is on the lookout for bold, adventure-seeking travelers.

'An AvanTourist is a traveler who is open to all kinds of adventures and ready for anything,' says Kaunas IN, the city's tourism, business, and investment development agency.

World Tourism Day is celebrated every year on 27 September. That morning, around 200 AvanTourists—selected from those who registered on time—will receive a special message with a plan for the future. Until 6 October (or even later if additional adventures are added), over 200 special offers from Kaunas residents, created specifically for this occasion, will be available to them. Many of these offers are designed for couples, groups of three, or even larger groups.

From the cosy streets of Žaliakalnis to the charming courtyards of the old town, Kaunas is brimming with furry feline residents who have captured the hearts of both locals and visitors alike.

Did you know that Kaunas is not just a beautiful city but also a favorite shooting location for filmmakers? The latest addition to its impressive filmography is the American mini-series Truth and Conviction. 📽️✨

Set in the turbulent times of WWII, this four-part series tells the gripping story of a young resistance fighter against Hi**er and the Gestapo agent on his trail. Directed and written by Matt Whitaker, the series highlights the moral complexities of their struggle.

Kaunas's authentic interwar architecture provided the perfect backdrop for this historical drama. Locations like the Lithuanian Bank palace, the Nemunas river embankment, and the Ninth Fort of Kaunas Fortress brought the 20th-century story to life.

This weekend in Kaunas was absolutely phenomenal! Ed Sheeran rocked the Dariaus ir Girėno Stadionas / Kauno Sporto Halė with two unforgettable concerts, and the city was buzzing with excitement! 🎶✨

Extra kudos to Ed for learning and promoting the correct pronunciation of Kaunas!😎

A huge thank you to Ed Sheeran for bringing such joy, the entire crew behind the concert and to everyone who joined in to make these nights so special. Kaunas, you truly shined! 🌟🙌
