Our grandmother’s (we call her “Mo”) house is located in a seaside resort town Palanga on the west coast of Lithuania, well known for its lively spirit, clean sea and pristine beaches. The wooden house is over 100 years old and represents an authentic architectural style typical of Palanga. To better accomodate our guests, its 4 rooms (accomodating 2 to 4 people each) were recently renovated – tak
ing care to retain the house spirit and historical context. The location is very central, just off the popular pedestrian street Basanaviciaus which is full of restaurants and bars, and close to the main Vytautas street. It’s within minutes of walking from the best white-sand beaches, local amenities & most sightseeing, including parks, museums and the local market. The place has good connections and is easily reached by both public and private transport. The main bus station is 20 min away by foot, the closest train station is Kretinga (10km) and Klaipėda (25 km), the main port city. Closest International airports: Palanga/Klaipėda PLQ 7km, Kaunas KUN 245km, Riga RIX 265km. Despite central location, the place is quiet and peaceful. There’s a beautiful garden, ladden with apple trees and tended flowers where you can relax and enjoy lazy afternoons. There is a summer kitchen, basically equipped, as well as small grill - from time to time, we love gathering in the garden and having a healthy lunch together with some friends or guests. Mo House is traveler friendly, comfortable and safe place to rest. We are looking forward to accommodating you throughout summer and beyond.
