❗️Update on quarantine in Lithuania❗️

The country's government decided on Wednesday that the nationwide quarantine in Lithuania is to be extended until at least April 13.

Under the quarantine, Lithuania has closed its borders to foreigners, banned big gatherings and ordered non-essential customer servicing businesses to close.

After the period given for foreigners to transit Lithuania ends on Thursday, they will only be able to cross the country in organised convoys, if necessary.

❗️Important update on foreigner transit in Lithuania❗️

The Government of Lithuania decided to extend the transit period for citizens of other countries to return home through the territory of the Republic of Lithuania until 26 March 2020, 00:00.

Until 26 March 2020, 00:00 transit of persons returning to their country of residence through the territory of the Republic of Lithuania without the stopover is permitted, by forming groups of persons or means of transport and ensuring the compulsory es**rt (convoy) of these groups from the entry into the Republic of Lithuania to departure through the international border crossing points.

❗️Exit and entry information for Poland, Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia due to COVID-19 😷❗️

POLAND
From 03.14, foreigners will not be permitted entry into Poland. This will apply until 03.24 and may be extended further. You are permitted to leave Poland, but be aware many flights are being cancelled.

BELARUS
There are currently no travel restrictions in place as a result of the worldwide outbreak. The Ministry of Health asks all travelers entering Belarus to inform border control officials if they have visited countries where COVID-19 is circulating actively.

LITHUANIA
Quarantine is introduced on 03.16. Once the quarantine is in place, foreigners will be allowed to enter the territory of Lithuania until midnight, 03.19 on condition they cross without indispensable stop, but otherwise will be banned from entering the country.

LATVIA
Effective on 03.17, the government of Latvia will close its borders to all but Latvian citizens and Latvian residents. There are no restrictions for foreigners to depart Latvia.

ESTONIA
Starting from 03.17, foreigners are allowed to transit Estonia on the way to their home country if they do not show symptoms of COVID-19. There are no restrictions for exiting the country.

One of our most recommended cognitive trail in Vilnius is Pūčkoriai Cognitive Trail. The trail is 5 km long and walk takes about 1,5-2 hours. Also here you will see 65 meter-high Pūčkoriai outcrop which is the most impressive and highest in Lithuania. Down below the outcrop much of the trail stretches near Vilnelė river. 🌊

During the warm season it is especially fun to go canoeing on the river. Many companies offer about 2 hours swim that starts at Belmont Dam and ends at the White Bridge in the city center. 🛶 Or you can take a guide for a tour in this area and then have lunch at the entertainment and leisure center Belmontas which is beloved by locals and offers a variety of local dishes. 😋

Let the freedom Ring 🔔 said Martin Luther King in “I have a dream” speech. Today is a special day for Baltic countries. Those who remember the event that happened 30 years ago, never forget the spirit of a peaceful political demonstration that occurred on 23 August 1989. Approximately 2 million people joined their hands to form a human chain spanning 675.5 kilometres across 3 Baltic states – Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania 👫👬🏻 This human chain, was a symbol of protest the Soviet occupation. Baltic Way was a major milestone on their road to regained freedom.📣
Today Hong Kong protesters are aiming to gather thousands of people to form a 40 kilometer chain along Hong Kong's main train lines. It will be a show of solidarity among people who are united against the extradition law and police violence, and a plea for international support.
Let the freedom fly! 🙌

Have you heard that we have a "republic" inside the capital of Vilnius? Yes, we are creative and arty people 👳‍♀ At the end of 19th century in Užupis there lived Felix Dzerzhinsky and later Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis. Until Lithuania's declaration of independence in 1990, it was one of the most neglected areas in the city, containing many run-down houses, many without utilities. “Republic” of Užupis was found in 1997 by a group of artists who wanted to carve out their own space in the capital. Look how wonderful it looks today! 👏Our little version of Paris Montmartre has its own anthem, constitution, president, bishop, two churches, the Bernadine Cemetery – one of the oldest in the city -, seven bridges, and its own guardian called The Bronze Angel of Užupis, which was placed in the centre of the district in 2002. Sounds interesting? Come to Vilnius and see it in your own eyes! 🚍🚟✈

There are plenty things to see in Vilnius. And one of them is - MIRACLE (Stebuklas)🙌 Yes, we have a miracle and it’s located in the Cathedral Square, Vilnius. The Stebuklas is most famous for it's magical, wish-granting features, but it also represents an important day in Lithuanian history🦸‍♂️The Baltic Way was a symbolic action that separated Baltic States from the Soviet Union and by which our people expressed their will to be independent. So, once you do find the miracle tile, here’s what you do: spin around 3 times clockwise and make the biggest wish that comes from your heart 💛 If it worked for the people in the Baltic way of 1989, the Stebuklas just might work for you too. 🤩
