The Old Town of Vilnius is the largest on in Eastern Europe and one of the largest surviving medieval Old Towns in Northern Europe. The buildings in the old town – of which there are about 1.5 thousand – were built over a number of centuries, resulting in a mixture of all European architectural styles. To be more precise, the greatest Europe‘s architectural styles, gothic, renaissance, abroque and

neoclassical, mix and complement each other. The heart of the Vilnius Old town is Pilies Street where street market life is common. The part of Vilnius city main street, Gediminas Avenue, is also located in Vilnius Old Town. The Old Town of Vilnius was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List (No. 541) in recognition of its universal value and originality in 1994.

We invite you to visit the museum named in honor of the Lithuanian artist of Jewish origin Samuel Bak. His work reflects the memories of a person who, as a child, went through the horrors of the Second World War and was forced to leave his home. Despite the tragic plots, S. Bak`s works bring the viewer from terrifying memories to bright hope for a good future, and remind point on the value of the moment here and now. Examples of S. The museum also presents unique works by artists of the 20th-21st centuries, which are connected with the history of the Jews of Lithuania. We invite children and adults!
