The Paul Wurth Group is a leading player in the global market for design and supply of equipment and plant facilities for the ironmaking industry. Headquartered in Luxembourg since its beginnings back in 1870, the company has developed in the course of its history into an engineering company which is active on the international market. As a result of its growth and expansion policy, the Group is today an established technology provider and supplier of complete plants for the primary stage of integrated steelmaking.
Thanks to its extensive experience and capacity to continuously innovate, Paul Wurth is a leading market player for the design and construction of complete blast furnace and coke oven plants. Agglomeration plants, direct reduction plants, environmental protection technologies for the iron and steel industry as well as waste treatment and recycling facilities complete Paul Wurth’s product portfolio focussed on the primary phase of steelmaking. In addition to its core competence in development and ex*****on of new construction projects and modernisations, Paul Wurth also offers a full range of products and services in engineering, project management, site supervision, commissioning assistance, operator consulting and after-sales.
Besides the activities devoted to the iron and steel industry, Paul Wurth also offers through its subsidiray Paul Wurth Geprolux tailor-made services, in particular integral planning and multidisciplinary engineering for town planning, civil construction and infrastructure projects. Moreover, Paul Wurth’s Oil & Gas division offers special valve solutions for refineries and the petrochemicals sector. Finally, Paul Wurth has been widening its competence towards solutions and technology for decentralised energy production.
With more than 1 400 employees and entities in around 20 countries, the Paul Wurth Group has a strong presence primarily in those regions of the world where a significant iron and steel industry operates.
