The Luxembourg Euro Meet is an international swimming competition held under the rules of FINA and the Luxembourg Swimming Federation (FLNS). Every swimmer who is registered through his/her team, club or national federation, as well as registered with FINA, may participate. Usually the Euro Meet is a FINA approved qualifying event for World Championships or Olympic Games. The event takes place eac

h year at the end of January at the Aquatic center of d’Coque, full name “Centre National Sportif et Culturel d’Coque” located at 2, rue Léon Hengen L-1745 Luxembourg. More information about the venue under www.coque.lu

The competition pool is a 50m pool with 10 lanes, depth is 2,20m throughout and the water temperature is 26°C. Time keeping is operated by electronic OMEGA timing. The organiser of the Luxembourg Euro Meet is the Luxembourg Swimming Federation (FLNS) and its members. Classification is done in three (3) age categories Youth, Junior and Open as well as for teams. Classification in the age categories “Youth” and “Junior” will be applied according to the results in the heats/direct finals. Classification in the “Open” category will be applied according to the results in the A-finals/direct finals. The team classification will be applied according to the best thirty (30) individual results (as per FINA points-table) for each team realised during the heats only. For teams having less than 30 starts all results will be considered. For more information and registration visit www.euromeet.lu

Welcome Federico Poggio! 🇮🇹💦

🥈 Roma 2022 European Championships: Silver in the 100m breaststroke

Federico earned two significant medals in the 2016 European Junior Championships, securing silver in the 100m breaststroke and bronze in the 50m breaststroke.
In the 2023 Euro Meet in Luxembourg, he won gold in both the 50m and 100m breaststroke.

🥉 Melbourne 2022 World Swimming Championships SC: Bronze in the 50m breaststroke
🥈 Otopeni 2023 European Championships SC: Silver in the 50m breaststroke
🥈 Roma 2022 European Championships: Silver in the 50m breaststroke

In 2024 Euro Meet he won the Gold Medal in the 50m breaststroke with a stellar performance and the Bronze Medal in 100m breaststroke.

Welcome Shona Branton! 🇨🇦 💦

Shona competed in the 2024 Euro Meet as part of Team Ontario and achieved outstanding results. She won gold in the women’s 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:06.59, setting a meet record. She also earned silver in the 50 breaststroke.
This season has been nothing short of phenomenal for Shona Branton, a rising star in Canadian breaststroke swimming.

Welcome Arianna Castiglioni! 🇮🇹💦

🥈 European Championships: Winner of 7 medals, including silvers in the 100m breaststroke and medley relay.
🥇 European Short Course Championships: Gold in the 50m breaststroke at Kazan 2021.

Arianna has participated in the Euro Meet in Luxembourg. During the 2024 edition, she achieved notable success by winning the women's 50m breaststroke and securing second place in the 100m breaststroke.

Marc-Antoine is one of the finest athletes in open water swimming, with an incredible list of achievements:
🏅 2024 World Cup Open Water Champion
🏅 Rio 2016 Olympics: Bronze medalist in the 10 km open water race.
🏆 2017 World Championships (Budapest): Gold in the 5 km team event & silver in the 5 km individual race.
🥈 2019 World Championships (Gwangju): Silver in the 10 km, securing his spot at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Over the years, he’s also claimed multiple European medals, including gold, showcasing his versatility and resilience.
