Day #4 TET Albania and Montenegro 🇦🇱🇲🇪

It's amazing how border crossing changes views, infrastructure and even nature. Last day in Albania and first in Montenegro.

September is a perfect for motorcycle adventures here when it's not raining. Seems like a big rain felt before we arrived - some fresh washouts here and there.

Due to some serious technical issues - broken rear suspension and stucking steering bearings, and combination of those two, makes driving some steeper serpentines close to dangerous, decision was made to slow down and leave some parts of the TET for the next time.

But what a blessing is to have a possibility to ride the TET through such a landscapes and experiences. Big, big thanks for linesmans and people who makes TET happen! 🙏

Day #1 on TET Albania - Monenegro 🇦🇱🇲🇪

Perfect weather so far! Nice seaside roads, delicious food and welcoming people! Going into mountains today!

🇬🇷🇦🇱🇲🇪🇮🇹Back on the TET road again!

The day has come!
Plan for this time is to start in Corfu, Greece where our bikes were parked from May, when we finished TET Greece, and go up North through Albania and Montenegro, then take ferry to Bari, Italy, park bikes for the winter season and fly home! But most importantly to enjoy the TET and all aroun it - nature, views, culture, food, drinks, meet new people and have lot fun with riding buddies!

To complete this "challenge" we have one week and ~1400km to drive and three glorious bushpigs - Suzukies DR650.

Our club's concept of TET traveling is to enjoy it big, but step by step - we start in the city where bikes are parked - usually with international airport, travel for week or so, then park bikes and fly home to long for the next trip. It makes logistics super easy - bike with all the equipment and gear waits for you. Just plan a little, buy cheap tickets, hop on plane with your camel backpack and start driving on the same or next day.

Looking forward for new adventures and hope to meet some of you on the track!

Day 3 on TET Greece 🇬🇷

After a very stormy night at a mountain village, we started a day with a clutch change routine and started our road in the high mountains. Moving very slowly because of the wonderful views around every corner. How can you not stop taking a couple of pictures with your bike?

Greeks love to talk. They can sit in tavernas and talk all morning, day and night. During one short photo stop in the mountains, one old wise man walked down from the steep cliff wall to us and started talking for 5 minutes straight. We just listened and waved our heads not understanding any of his valuable ancient greek wisdom. But we could see how his social batteries recharged 😂

Some days you can ride TET and meet no one or just some local truck, moped, or tractor. This day was different. In the most remote and steep serpentine belt, we met a fellow TET rider and world traveler Valle on Tour on his fully equipped GS1250, conquering a massive fallen tree. The rest of the day we spent together enjoying good company and driving deeper into some pretty crazy adventures where sensible solo riders usually turn back.

Long story short - we drove over a 5m snow wall on a very mountain peak, rallied landslided road sections, and slide thru some more snow-covered serpentines. Fun, fun, fun 😎

Valle has traveled a lot and it was a pure pleasure watching him operate 5 cameras simultaneously, flying and not losing his drone (what has 1600km!!! on its odometer) in heavy wind and always thinking about camera angles and scenarios even while we all together struggle to get a heavy GS up the cliff wall in hard enduro-style to get around the 5-meter deep snow wall. Respect! 😂

Late supper and beer in the cozy hotel after all this tastes so much better!

Good morning from TET Greece!

Second day on TET, starting from Athens, moving to the direction of Albania border.

Track is just marvelous! Having the best type of Holliday what a man on the motorcycle can get! Excellent work linesman Mariner Earendil !

Lot of beautiful wildlife on the track. Conditions are perfect so far! Food and beer is wonderful!

We just lost half of one licence plate and one clutch, but it's ok. Sorry - no pictures of fallen bikes so far 😂 Moving into the high mountains today! 🤘
