Kā jau katru gadu, arī šogad esam radījuši starpsezonu čību, iešļūceņu jeb viegli staigājamu apavu pop-up kolekciju.

Šoreiz stāsts ir par formu un tekstūru krāsainību no tālās Kubas, kurā paviesojos kādu krietnu laiku atpakaļ, bet iedvesma atnāca tagad.

Pateicoties manam iedvesmas avotam, varēju izpausties ar visu, kas bija izrokams turpat uz vietas plauktos - ādu, kažoku atgriezumi, furnitūru atlikumi utt.. kā rezultātā katra čība ir unikāla. The only performer to win four Academy Awards for Best Actress, Hepburn began her career in the early Thirties and built a commercially and critically successful career that would last for the next six decades. Kaut kad nesen satiku un runājām, ka man vajadzētu iemūžināt karē griezumu atskaitei, jo pēdējo reizi tik īsi mati man bija vairāk kā pirms 20 gadiem un droši vien nākamos vismaz 15 arī nebūs.
Tad nu ar vairākām novirzēm, pārcelšanām, slimošanām satikāmies. Man, protams, vienmēr ir līdz čemodāns ar apaviem. Diāna paskatījās uz mani un tik nopūta: "man likās, ka fotosesija šoreiz būs vairāk par Tevi.." tad sapratu, ka apavi jau ir par mani. Bez tiem vairs neesmu es, šogad manā dzimšanas dienā aprit tieši 10 gadi kopš esmu visa apavos. Un ne tikai šajā estētiskajā sadaļā, ko parādu, bet ikdiena putekļos, motortelpās, mūžīgā lavierēšana starp meistariem, pasūtītājiem, piegādātājiem, covidiem, ģeopolitiskajām situācijām, bezspēkiem un bezcerībām šo visu turpināt. Nezinu, kur un kā tas viss dienas beigās novedīs, bet pagaidām es un apavi ir viens.
Kad Diāna prasīja, kurus tagad zābakus ņemam, teicu - salātiņus, tie izglābs visu.

Inspiration of the day *JOSEPHINE

*Freda Josephine Baker was an American-born French dancer, singer, and actress. Her career was centered in Europe, mostly in France. She was the first black woman to star in a major motion picture, the 1927 silent film "Siren of the Tropics". Josephine was also an agent for French intelligence during World War II. As the story goes, N**i guards were so star-struck by Baker, known in various circles as the "Black Pearl," that they let her slip across the border without a hitch - unaware that she was carrying secret messages written in invisible ink on her sheet music.

Our baby blue snake skin print leather boots is an ode to *Violette

*Violette Reine Elizabeth Szabo was a British-French Special Operations Executive (SOE) agent during World War II and a posthumous recipient of the George Cross (the highest civilian honor). On her second mission to occupied France, Szabo was captured by the German army, interrogated, tortured, and deported to the Ravensbrück concentration camp in Germany, where she was executed.

Our favourite snakeskin boots are for sure named after femme fatale *MATA HARI

*Margaretha Geertruida MacLeod, better known by the stage name Mata Hari, was a Dutch exotic dancer and courtesan who was convicted of spying for Germany during World War I. She was executed by firing squad in France. The idea of a beautiful exotic dancer using her seductive powers as a spy made her name synonymous with the femme fatale.
