Le Design Thinking aide à créer les produits adéquats a une demande existante pour "créer des produits que les gens veulent", au lieu de "faire en sorte que les gens veuillent acheter des produits". Ceci est l'exemple à travers lequel les entreprises innovantes d'aujourd'hui (Apple, Amazon, IDEO, Virgin America, Uber ...) se connectent avec leur public, les consommateurs et les utilisateurs.
