Camel trekking Morocco -- Day 1 :
Marrakech - Telouate - Ouarzazate. 200 km total, 35 km off-road
Morning departure crossing the High Atlas 2260m high passage of Tizi n'Tichka arriving in Telouet for the visit of Kasbah Pacha Glaoui. Lunch in local restaurant. Heading through the old caravan tracks crossing the amazing Ounila Valley and its dozens of mountain Berber villages until we reach the UNESCO Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou for a special visit. Road to Ouarzazate, pass the night at hotel.
Camel trekking Morocco -- Day 2 :
Ouarzazate - Gorges du Todra - Merzouga. 350km
Leaving Ouarzazate around 8:00am towards Skoura where we'll have a quick 20 minutes visit of the Amredhyle Kasbah, one of the wonders of the southern "Route of the thousand kasbahs". Continuing our journey through the Valley of the Roses where we'll have a 15 minute stop in Et Kella M'Gouna. Heading Boulmane, reaching Tinghir and 20km after, its fabulous canyons, the Gorges du Todra Canyons. Free time to walk around the "gorges", enjoy the river and the fabulous views. Lunch at a local restaurant. After midday we drive to Tinjedad and Touroug Palm Plantations reaching Erfoud town for a visit of a local fossil craft workshop. Continuing to the fascinating dunes of Erg Znigue, The Dunes in Merzouga. We now switch from our 4x4 to camels, where you'll be taken on a camel ride on the dunes to enjoy the Sun set on the dunes and overnight on a true nomad bivouac. Diner sleeping in bivouac on nomad Berber tents in biuouac znigue.

Early morning departure to enjoy Sun rise on Sahara Desert.after Breakfast and departure towards the Palm Plantation of Tafilalet passing Rissani, the old Alaouite Sahara capital by the ancient Alaouite Sultans. Road to Alnif where lunch is waiting. Visit to Tazzarine, Tansihkt and N'kob Oasis. Tracks crossing the Draa Valley and its fabulous Palm Plantations. From Ouarzazate, on the 2nd day, we’ll head east trough the Rose Valley passing the wonderful palm grove of Tinerhir until we reach the magnificent and impressive Gorges du Todra Canyons.

On the 3rd day we drive to Merzouga dunes for a night in a nomad tent in Sahara Desert.
The way from Tinerhir to Erg Chebbi Dunes (Merzouga Dunes) is a mix of sand, rocky mountains, camels and Saharan towns.

4-day trip to Dades Gorge
This 4-day trip to Dades Gorge and Merzouga Erg Chebbi includes the opportunity to take camel treks in Morocco: find out more below.
Day 1 :
Marrakesh – Tizi-n-Tichka – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Skoura – Kelaa Mgouna – Boumalne – Dades Gorge.
An early morning start sees us heading to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou UNESCO World Heritage site through the mountain pass of Tizi n’Tichka (2260m) and the High Atlas. After visiting the site and enjoying lunch, you’ll take the road to Ouarzazate and then to Skoura to visit the Kasbah of Amredhyle. Travel through the perfumed Valley of the Roses to Kelaa M’Gouna, Boumalne and to Dades Valley, for an overnight hotel stay.
Day 2 :
Dades Canyon – Boumlane – Tinghir – Todra Canyon – Tinjdad – Touroug – Erfoud – Merzouga
After a good night’s sleep, return via the Dades Valley and Boumalne to Tinghir and the Todra Canyon. Take a stroll before continuing to Erfoud, passing through the palm groves of Tinjdad, where you can have lunch. In Erfoud, visit the fossil and marble workshops before taking the track to the impressive Erg Chebbi dunes. Discover the thrills of camel treks in Morocco as you enjoy the sunset over the dunes, before returning for dinner and an overnight stay at the nomad camp under the starry skies and in the peace of the desert.
Day 3 :
Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Tazzarine – Nkoub – Draa Valley – Agdz – Ouarzazate
In order to make the most of the sunrise over the immense desert, get up extra-early for more camel trekking in the high dunes. After breakfast, we head via Rissani to the vast palm grove of Tafilalet. Have lunch in Alnif before taking in the Tazarine and N’Kob oases en route to the Draa Valley. Later, visit the little Berber village of Agdz and the 1660m Anti-Atlas mountains. Continue to Ouarzazate for dinner and accommodation at the hotel.
Day 4 :
Ouarzazate – Fint Oasis – Tifoultoute – Marrakech
Ouarzazate – Fint Oasis – Tifoultoute – Marrakech Departure after breakfast to Fint, set atop the rocky landscape, where you’ll find an oasis nestled in the crook of the river between the mountains. Four small villages surround the oasis, where time seems to stand still and the people live peacefully off its bounty. We stop off for lunch as we return to Marrakech.

Upon arrival in Casablanca, Morocco’s economic capital, you will be met and transferred by shuttle bus to your Casablanca hotel. Depending on arrival time, you may have the opportunity to visit the city, including an optional visit to the Hassan II, one of the world's biggest mosques.

Rabat - Fes
After breakfast, we head by minivan towards Fes to begin our visit to Morocco’s Imperial Cities]. On the way, we will stop at Rabat, the capital city and residence of the King. After lunch and some time to enjoy this beautiful coastal city, we continue to Fes, the spiritual capital of Morocco.
Morocco in 4x4 -- Day 3 :
Fes
After breakfast, take a guided tour of the Fes medina, one of the world’s largest. Explore the narrow streets lined with stalls offering fresh fruit, spices, intricately woven Berber carpets and much more. The King’s Palace, the tanneries, and potteries are just some of places we will visit, before lunch in a traditional restaurant at the heart of the medina. After lunch there will be time for further visits before returning to your hotel for the evening.
Morocco in 4x4 -- Day 4 :
Volubilis - Meknès - Fes
After an early breakfast, the morning will be spent exploring the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, which give a glimpse of life during the Roman Empire 2000 years ago. Lunch will be taken in Mulay Idris, one of the holiest cities in Morocco, and will be followed by a bus tour of the imperial city, Meknes. You will return to Fes in the evening for dinner.
Morocco in 4x4 -- Day 5 :
Marrakech (full day drive)
After an early breakfast, the group will depart for Marrakech. The beautiful drive will take you up into the Middle Atlas Mountains and along the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains. Once in Marrakech, check into your hotel and then head off to Djemaa el-Fna, the central square of the medina. Coming alive at nightfall with local storytellers, musicians and other entertainers, it is well worth a visit. Sip a mint tea on the quiet terrace of one of the surrounding cafés and enjoy spectacular views over the bustling square.
Morocco in 4x4 -- Day 6 :
Marrakech
After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of Marrakech, the southern pearl of Morocco, and see the Palace of the Bahia, the Saadian Tombs, and many other hidden treasures. After lunch, marvel at the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque and conclude your day by exploring the souk, Marrakech’s traditional market.

Merzouga
This day you'll discover the extraordinary golden sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. There, you'll start a camel ride through the desert.

Agadir

Departure every Friday: Marrakesh – Tizi-N-Tichka – Ait Ben Haddou – Kasbah of Skoura – Canyons of Dades.
These desert safari tours depart every Friday morning from Marrakech. We pick you up from an agreed departure point and set off from Marrakech to cross the Tichka pass in the High Atlas Mountains, with a short stop for coffee and a visit to a women’s argan oil cooperative. Our lunch stop is at UNESCO World Heritage site, Ait Ben Haddou, the most famous Kasbah in Morocco. After lunch we continue through the Skoura Oasis, where numerous ancient Kasbahs stand amongst the palm trees. From here, our route takes us through Kela’a M’gouna, the Valley of Roses valley, with a stop to see cosmetics being made from the valley’s abundant roses. We then continue to the Dades Gorge to spend the first night in a hotel.
Saturday: Dades Gorge – Todra Canyon – Tinejdad – Erfoud – Erg Chebbi – Merzouga
After breakfast at the hotel we depart to Todra Canyon for a little walk to see the sheer rock walls that rise to 300m in the narrowest parts. We continue by 4x4 through small Berber villages, stopping in Erfoud to visit the fossils, following which we head for Merzouga. We reach Erg Chebbi dunes in late afternoon, and prepare for a 1h30 camel ride to see the sunset over the dunes before arriving at our desert camps. Enjoy traditional Moroccan food, drink delicious mint tea and listen to traditional desert music while watching the stars and the rising moon, then spend the night in a traditional nomad tent. This amazing Sahara desert experience is sure to prove one of the most magical moments of your Marrakech holidays.
Sunday: Merzouga – Tazzarine – N’koub – Tansikht – Agdez – Marrakech
Get up early in the morning to watch the sun rise over the dunes, then head back for breakfast and a shower. Afterwards, we set off for Rissani, Alnif and Tazzarine, crossing through beautiful landscapes, volcanic mountains and oases, via N’Koub and Tansikht to the Kasbah, in the Draa valley. Through the lush green valley of Draa, the longest in Morocco, you’ll take in Agdez before arriving in Ouarzazate. After lunch, we return to Marrakech in the afternoon.

Essaouira :
On this excursion from Marrakech to Essaouira, we spend a day visiting the city and its harbour, which is mainly devoted to fishing and is overlooked by the 1806 Port de la Marine fortified tower. At the Sidi Mohammed ben Abdallah Museum, see Andalusian musical instruments, as well as objects used by Gnaoua and other trance music brotherhoods. In the afternoon we visit an argan oil cooperative before returning to Marrakech.

Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, Kasbah Taourirt, Museum of Cinema (half day) :
This half-day Ouarzazate excursions departs by 4x4 either in the morning or the afternoon to visit the city’s historic monuments and its surroundings. Visit Kasbah Taourirt, the former residence of Glaoui, and the Cinema Museum, then continue to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, before returning to Ouarzazate.
Fint Oasis and Tifoultoute Kasbah (half day) :
Your half-day Ouarzazate excursions by 4x4 leaves either in the morning or the afternoon to visit the city’s historic surroundings, heading towards Ouarzazate Fint via the “Plateau de Pierres”. Walk in the oasis and enjoy a mint tea in the village chief’s house, and before returning to Ouarzazate, visit the Kasbah of Tifoultoute.
Skoura Valley (half day) :
This half-day Ouarzazate excursions heads to Skoura, a huge palm grove about 40km from Ouarzazate, on the road of 1000 Kasbahs. Many Kasbahs are to be found amid the greenery, the best-known being Amerhedil and Aït Abou. The latter is still inhabited and run as a guesthouse by its owners, who will invite you to enjoy a glass of mint tea with them. Round off your trip by horse-riding in the Skoura oasis for 1 hour, and then return to Ouarzazate.
Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou and Kasbah Talouate (day) :
Your full-day Ouarzazate excursions follows the 4x4 trail through the High Atlas, via the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, with a visit to the village. We continue the trail to discover Berber villages clinging to the sides of the Ounila Valley, arriving at Talouate for lunch and a visit to the Kasbah of the Pasha Glaoui, the highest Kasbah in the Atlas Mountains. Return to Ouarzazate is via the tarmacked road.
Dades Valley and gorges (day) :
With a morning departure by 4x4 to the destination Dades Valley, you will travel through a great variety of landscapes, starting with the Skoura palm grove. A stroll among the cool palm trees is the perfect way to enjoy these beautiful kasbahs scattered amid gardens, orchards and crops. Before taking the track to Kelaa M’Gouna, your sense of smell will be awakened as you head through “rose country”: there are numerous rose gardens scattered among the orchards. Then travel onwards to the Dades Gorge through the Berber village of Msamrir, a lovely village which lies between two mountains. Lunch at the heart of the Dades Gorge, go walking in the river, and then return to Ouarzazate, visiting Kelaa M’Gouna village on the way.
Draa Valley (day) :
The day starts with breakfast in Ouarzazate before our departure to Zagora: we cross the Atlas Mountains via Ait Saoun and arrive at the village of Agdz. Then we take the caravan track enabling us to visit the heart of the Draa Valley, travelling through its wonderful fields, with a stop to visit the Kasbah Tamnougalte. We hit the trail again, enjoying the scenery as we head south to Zagora, then to Tamgroute to visit the Koranic library with its collection of ancient religious books, plus the underground Kasbah and the pottery district. Later, at Tinfou, we reach the first dunes, whose sands we climb on camelback, before returning for lunch in Zagora. In the afternoon we return to Ouarzazate.

Marrakech and Ouarzazate 4x4 tour, 2 days
Excursion Marrakech -- Day 1 :
Marrakech – High Atlas – Kasbah Telouet – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate.
Excursion Marrakech - After breakfast, you take the road in the High Atlas Tizi n'Tichka, 2260 m altitude. Passage through the kasbah Telouet (visit the Kasbah) and lunch. Then continue with the old caravan route passing Ait Ben Haddou Ouarzazate to join. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Excursion Marrakech -- Day 2 :
Ouarzazate – Kasbah Taourirt - Fint Oasis – Kasbah Tifoultout - Film studio – Marrakech.
Excursion Marrakech - Excursion Marrakech - After breakfast, you will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and film museum and departure for the oasis of Fint, on top of a rock. To discover the oasis nestled in the hollow of the river, between the mountains. Four small villages where time seems to have stopped and where people live in peace resources of this wonderful oasis. Lunch on the road to Marrakech and overnight at your hotel. End of the journey.
