The Djebel Saghro is a thin range stretching from the Draa Valley west to the Dunes of Merzouga east. It is considered the first barrier stopping the overwhelming Sahara Desert south bordered before the imposing snow capped Atlas Mountains north.
The wild and untamed Saghro is the perfect range for a winter hiking holiday in Morocco as it hardly knows any winter! During your trek, you will explore the amazing landscapes of this volcanic range, you will trek desert high plateaus, sculpted pitons, and deep valleys. You will have the chance to meet some of the last nomads in Morocco, the Ait Atta Tribe, still perpetuating hundreds of years of nomadic way of life.
