A beautifully written article in The NY Times, poignant, sensitive, and spot on.

My beloved country now has a seat at the table. This Amazigh led team, made its way to the top, with technique, sweat and passion. Was this really a miracle? Maktub! The road was written for them to lead.

While by words some say defeat, yet at heart, a gain of great significance, representing the face of Africa and the Arab World. We have all witnessed talent, modesty and humanity. As the team bowed towards Allah in a show of grace, many tears were shed. Around the globe people have now seen the the heartbeat of Morocco!

On some level this will always be Morocco’s World Cup, the one that made it a trailblazer, a record breaker, a watermark that will not fade.

Imsouane is a small fishing town, in the Sous Massa Draa region, known as one of the leading surfing capitols and a hippie hideaway in Morocco. This coastal enclave is the ideal place to be in spring and summer. Spring offers perfect weather for a calmer experience. Summer is known for warm days, windswept afternoons and coolers evenings. Fish stalls that serve fresh grill, salads and pomme frite surround the port with bright colored blue boats. The dusty town has sea views from every angle. Daily catch is sold by local fisherman who supply the town with seafood trucked in from Agadir. Views of a dilapidated light house remain from former days decorating with a Maghrebi star. Off the beaten track, full of charm with a touch of bliss, sums up this remote village. Visit here…. honeymooners or for a romantic escape.

Discover Morocco’s Blue washed city. Chefchaouen or Chauen is known as the “blue” city in northwest Morocco situated in the Rif mountains, located inland from Tangier and Tetouan. The city was founded in 1947` by Moorish exiles from Spain. Its blue–glazed houses and buildings are a tradition that comes from the town’s former Jewish population. Chefchaouen was known as one of the main concentrations of moriscos and Jews who sought refuge in this mountainous city after the Spanish Reconquista in medieval times. Moulay Ali Ben Moussa Ben Rached El Alami and the exiles used the fortress of Chefchaouen to fight off the invading Portuguese who were entering Morocco from the North in 1920, the Spanish seized Chefchaouen to form part of Spanish Morocco.

Celebrate the Bride of the North & Visit Tangier!

Maritime traffic between Morocco and Spain is expected to resume in early April, after two years of suspension. The first ferry will depart from the port of Tarifa bound for the port of Tangier on April 7, 2022.

This reopening of the maritime borders comes after President Pedro Sanchez sent a letter to King Mohammed VI in which he expressed Spain's support for the Sahara autonomy plan proposed by Morocco, which it considers to be the solution. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, announced the resumption of maritime links and Operation Marhaba.
