Secret Garden is opening its doors to the public for the first time in history. The origins of the complex date back to the Saadian Dynasty, more than four hundred years ago.

Rebuilt in the mid-Nineteenth century at the behest of an influential kaid of the Atlas Mountains, Le Jardin Secret has been the home of some of Morocco and Marrakech's most important political figures.

Today you are able to fully appreciate it, thanks to the recent renovation: Le Jardin Secret is part of the great tradition of stately Arab-Andalusian and Moroccan palaces. As a result visitors can discover it's gardens and buildings. which are outstanding examples of Islamic art and architecture. Don't miss the cafe and gift shop on the premises.

This is one of our absolute favourite places in Marrakech, and it's a hidden gem much less well known than the Majorelle Gardens and so convenient in the heart of the Medina.

There is nice little café on site and its worth paying the extra charge to go up the tower, one of the highest points in the old town with commanding views.

BAHIA PALACE

Located along Rue Bahia Bab in the Mellah district of the Medina is the Bahia Palace, a stunning set of tranquil gardens enclosed within beautifully decorated walled pavilions.

The construction of the palace first began under the direction of Grand Vizier Is Moussa in the late 19th century, but was then finished under supervision of slave-turned-vizier Abu "Bou" Ahmed with the help of expert craftsmen from Fez. Bahia Palace was built as a tribute to Bou Ahmed's favorite wife of the same name with an aim to outshine the other buildings of Marrakech at the time. One could argue that this project was a success. Indeed, the Bahía Palace, meaning "Palace of Brilliance, certainly lives up to its name: sunlight shines through the wrought-iron windows to cast beautiful shadows on the traditional zellij tilework and it's the courtyards feature fresh orange trees with shaded gardens surrounding a trickling fountain.

The Bahia Palace offers both a serene oasis in the heart of the Medina and a fascinating glimpse into the history of the kingdom of Morocco, making it a definite must-visit location.

Take advantage of an evening out of the ordinary Chez Ali, Marrakech's most famous restaurant, where every evening riders, musicians, dancers and fireworks take to the stage for the fantasia show.

Chez Ali is a huge enclosure located in the Marrakech palm grove. The restaurant has a capacity of 6,000 people and features various Ihaimas located around the main esplanade where the show takes place.

From start to finish, Chez Ali is a constant spectacle, where countless bands entertain at the reception each evening, before dinner and during the meal since they all pass through the different tables.

After dinner comes the main course at Chez Ali, la fantaisia, a show featuring riders, horses, musicians, dancers, acrobats and gunpowder are brought together on a large open-air stage.

The Fantasia show, also known as "powder game features a large number of riders firing at the same time, conveying a sense of unity to the spectator.
