🌟 Embarking on a 12-day odyssey through the captivating landscapes and flavors of Morocco alongside the esteemed Mark Wiens was an experience beyond compare! 🇲🇦 Our journey took us on a whirlwind tour across the kingdom, immersing ourselves in the rich tapestry of Moroccan cuisine and culture. 🍽️ From the bustling streets of Casablanca, where we delved into the heart of the central market, brimming with an array of fresh fish and seafood, to the serene beauty of Essaouira, where we savored a delightful family dinner amidst the charm of the old town and the rhythmic melody of the port. 🦐🎶

In Rabat, we were warmly welcomed into a local family's home, treated to a sumptuous dinner that showcased the true essence of Moroccan hospitality. 🏠 Our journey continued to the vibrant city of Fes, where we indulged in a feast of meaty delights and lost ourselves in the labyrinthine alleys of the old town, each corner revealing hidden culinary treasures. 🥩🗺️

🌟 Just arrived in Marrakech and wow, what a vibrant city! 🏙️ Joined by Fatima, who led us through the bustling Souk and winding alleys of the Medina. 🍽️ Tasted a plethora of street foods: creamy avocado juice, fresh Raib yogurt, Loubia white beans, and tangy pomegranate juice. 🥑🥤 Savored mixed meat sandwiches, indulged in Tanjia and Mechoui at Chez l'Amine Haj Moustapha. 🍖🍲 Explored the lively olive market and relished a rabbit tagine in a local restaurant. 🐇🍲 Marrakech is a culinary gem! Woke up in Erfoud, right on the edge of the Sahara Desert, and embarked on a day filled with incredible experiences! 🌄 Started with a visit to a local family home to witness the preparation of a unique delicacy—stuffed pigeons, a rare treat in Morocco. The meticulous process showcased the lady's skill and expertise. 🕊️🍽️

Leaving the pigeons to cook, we ventured to the vibrant market of Rissani—lucky for us, it was market day! Bustling with dates vendors, spices, and fresh produce, it was a lively scene. We sourced some meat from a local butcher, had it expertly chopped and spiced, then headed to a nearby bakery to create the famous Medfouna, the Berber pizza. The baker skillfully folded our meat into the dough, and into the gigantic oven it went! 🍕🌶️

Returning to the family for lunch, we enjoyed a feast of delicious Medfouna and the outstanding stuffed pigeons. Afterward, we drove to the mesmerizing sand dunes of Merzouga. Along the way, we stopped at a local camel milk producer for a taste of fresh camel milk. The adventure continued with ATV rides in the sand dunes, pumping up our adrenaline and creating unforgettable memories! 🐫🏜️

Meeting a nomad, we witnessed the traditional preparation of Medfouna cooked in the sand. The unique technique involved heating the sand with burning wood, creating a crispy crust and preventing sand from sticking to the bread. 🥖🔥

As the sun set, we enjoyed a camel ride, anticipating the warm and tasty Medfouna awaiting us. Back at the camp, we concluded our day with a drum music party under the stars—a magical ending to a day filled with activities and so much fun! 🌟🥁

Embarked on a culinary journey through the vibrant Medina of Rabat, and oh, what a gastronomic adventure it was! 🍲 Started with a street food extravaganza—indulged in the rich flavors of Rziza, chebbakiya, sardines, maakouda, steamed cow head, chicken liver sandwich, and washed it all down with refreshing sugar cane juice. Street food dreams came alive! 🥙🍤🍢

Our taste buds danced with joy as we ventured into a local restaurant for a main meal, savoring classic dishes that perfectly captured the essence of Moroccan cuisine. 🍛 A delightful array of flavors that left us craving for more!

As the sun dipped below the horizon, our culinary exploration continued with a dinner feast in a warm family home. The mother graciously prepared a 4-course meal that felt like a symphony of tastes. 🍽️ Starting with a wonderful salad, followed by a fancy chicken dish that melted in our mouths, and reaching the pinnacle with an outstanding whole fish that showcased the culinary mastery. 🐟 Finally, a sweet note to end the evening—a decadent flan dessert that was pure bliss! 🍮

A day filled with flavors, aromas, and the warmth of Moroccan hospitality. Truly an unforgettable culinary odyssey! 🌟
