Useful Tips for Taking Care of Your Motorcycle Visor😎✌🏻:

Warm Water and Soap Solution Instead of Cleaning Agents: To ensure your visor lasts longer and remains undamaged, use only warm water and, for heavy dirt, a mild soap solution. Cleaning sprays and liquid window cleaners can damage the visor material.

Removing Insects: If your visor has become a graveyard for insects, simply soak it in warm (not hot) water for a few minutes or place a warm, wet cloth on it. Then, remove the cloth and gently rinse the visor under a stream of warm water without excessive rubbing. This method helps remove dirt and insects without causing unnecessary scratches.

Caring for the Sun Visor: The sun visor usually gets less dirty, so rinsing it under warm water is often sufficient. If insects are stuck on it, extend the visor and place a warm, damp cloth (a heavy wet towel can damage the small, delicate visor) on it for a few minutes, then rinse. If you can't rinse the sun visor under running water, gently dab it with a wet, lint-free cloth.

Pinlock: Pinlock is a flexible plastic insert that prevents fogging on the visor, installed on our Schuberth helmets. This component is very sensitive to mechanical damage. Clean the Pinlock with warm water and a mild soap solution, then blot dry with a soft, clean cloth or lint-free fabric. Remove the Pinlock as infrequently as possible. If water gets between the Pinlock and the visor, remove it, clean both the Pinlock and the visor, dry them, and then reassemble. For cleaning the silicone seal around the edges, use warm water and a microfiber cloth.

Don't Wipe the Visor Before Wetting It: Even if the visor looks clean, tiny dust particles can scratch the surface, reducing visibility, especially during evening or night rides.

Wash Your Hands After Using SPF Cream: Greasy spots from sunscreen on the visor impair visibility and are very difficult to remove with warm water or a mild soap solution.

We regularly use these tips ourselves, as we have many helmets in our rental service and take care to keep them clean and long-lasting. We hope these tips will help you keep your visors in excellent condition as well. Have a pleasant and safe ride!🏍️

Until July 20th, Montenegro will experience tropical heat with temperatures around 40 degrees Celsius!

Street thermometers in the sun sometimes show up to 50 degrees. The humidity is so high that it becomes hard to breathe, and there’s a constant feeling of oxygen shortage.

In such conditions, it’s easy to overheat and become dehydrated. Here’s what you need to know:

Signs of Overheating and Dehydration:

Overheating: Severe fatigue, dizziness, headache.

Dehydration: Dry mouth, thirst, low energy, orange urine.

This can lead to serious consequences, such as fainting, even while riding a motorcycle.

How to Avoid Overheating and Dehydration:

Drink Enough Liquids: Make frequent stops in the shade, drink water or sports drinks with electrolytes.

Cooling and Protection: Choose the right gear. We offer rental jackets with protection and breathable mesh. It’s best to wear cooling thermal underwear underneath.

Sun Protection: If you prefer riding in a t-shirt and shorts, be sure to use sunscreen. The UV index is currently 9-10, and you can get sunburned in minutes.

Plan Your Route: Start early and take a break from 12 to 2 PM in a cool place.

Rain is no reason for a biker to postpone a trip! 😎

While our customers are donning bright raincoats and exploring local roads, let’s remember a few important rules for safe riding in wet weather. Especially in Montenegro, where the asphalt is slippery even without rain.

So, if you’re traveling in the rain:

Don’t forget to put on a raincoat in advance, especially if your gear isn’t waterproof. In the mountains, there can be sudden temperature changes. Hypothermia can lead not only to a cold but also to decreased concentration and increased risk of errors.

Slow down and increase your distance. Yes, it’s basic advice, but it’s important! On slippery roads, it’s better to move slower to avoid accidents and injuries.

Watch out for deep puddles and areas with lots of water to avoid hydroplaning or hitting a pothole.

Pass through roundabouts slowly and carefully. Keep the motorcycle upright. Slippery asphalt, oil spots, and water can turn roundabouts into ice rinks.

Be cautious with road markings. In the rain, road markings become very slippery. Avoid braking on them, but if you must, brake gently, controlling the process with the clutch.

Ride the motorcycle smoothly and steadily. Avoid sudden accelerations and braking, as well as dangerous maneuvers, to prevent skidding.

Pay attention to large construction sites along the road. Trucks can drag dirt and clay onto the asphalt from adjacent areas, which becomes very slippery when wet.

Remember, car drivers may not see you in cloudy weather (they don’t see you in any weather :) ), so be especially careful and maintain a safe distance. A bright raincoat with reflective elements will increase your chances of being noticed.

What rules do you follow when riding a motorcycle in the rain?

Aprilia Touareg 660 is ideal for traveling on the varied roads of Montenegro. (as are all the motorcycles in our motorcycle rentals😎).

Whether you’re riding along the coast or traversing winding mountain roads, this motorcycle delivers the power and maneuverability you need for a comfortable ride.

Yes, it’s best to take a trip on this motorcycle without a passenger. Simply because the seat is designed in such a way that a passenger will not be comfortable on a long ride.

So, if you want to ride Aprilia Touareg 660 in good company, send your passenger to sunbathe on the beach, and call a friend who also drives a motorcycle! For him we will find exactly the same model, but in a different color. Or he can choose something else from our range. Vacation is coming!

Review of BMW R 1300 GS part 5

The motorcycle left me with a very good impression, and although it brings nothing revolutionary, the evolution can be felt in every aspect. Although the majority of improvements are aimed on the road application, the good old GS can nevertheless be recognized. Despite a number of new features, some solutions like phone compartment with no wireless charging leave much to be desired.

I believe that introduction of the R1300GS is a nice move aimed on retaining buyers that KTM and Ducati Multistrada are trying to poach from BMW. It is also a nice try to get away from the stigma of being something that you buy when for retirement age. The changes that I see have changed the focus from comfort touring to high-speed travel. I’m not sure that this is what the vast majority of its previous owners wanted, but it will definitely attract new ones.

My way to a GS started with overcoming the stereotypes that tried to position this bike as something slow and designed primarily for pensioners. When I tried it myself, I realized how biased that opinion was. For the last two seasons I have seen numerous clients from all over the world that rented our bikes and shared impressions about their powerful KTMs, Multistradas, sport bikes, and other motorcycles. Once they tried our BMWs many of them changed their views, and some even said that they are going to change their motorcycles as soon as they get home.

The GS can easily change views once ridden as it delivers pleasure during riding instead of a struggle. GS remains a good solution for those who value reliability and equipment availability.

Go check it out yourself: book a test ride – compare BMW R1250GS, BMW R1250GSA, and BMW R1300GS. Welcome to Montenegro during the upcoming season!

Girl power!

At the end of this summer we added a lightweight Honda CRF 300L to our motorcycle fleet. And it was immediately booked for themselves by two brave girls from Germany.

For 18 days they traveled through Montenegro and neighboring countries on their own. The most pleasant thing is that motorcycle ladies did not skip Montenegro, as most motorcycle travelers do. They listened to Serge and spent 5 days to explore our beautiful country.

We managed to surprise them with our routes and they surprised us with their courage. Despite the fact that one of the girls' motorcycle was a bit high, they withstood the gale wind and offroad.

Most of our customers are men. Motorcycle ladies rent motorcycles from us less often. But these two lovely ladies took the second place in the nomination "the longest motorcycle rental from Balkan Moto Travel". 😅. In honor of this we gave them commemorative T-shirts, and they gave us wonderful photos.

Thank you for choosing us! With love

Autumn in Durmitor National Park.

Motorcyclists who come on their bikes are becoming less and less common on the roads, because on some mountain passes it becomes cold and uncomfortable. But you still can fly to Montenegro by plane and rent a motorcycle from 😎

Check the weather forecast carefully before planning your trip. Sometimes it rains in the north of the country. Take a raincoat with you, it will protect you from rain and wind!

Dear tourists who want to visit Montenegro and rent motorcycles from us!

To drive our BMW and Aprilia Touareg motorcycles, you will need a full A category driving license.

If you want to drive a Honda CRF 300L motorcycle, category A2 in your driving license will be enough for you.

If your driving license does not have the appropriate category, we will not provide motorcycle rental for you.

We don't make any exceptions. Even if you tell us that you have 10 years of driving experience, and you just can't find the time to get your license.

Even if you swear to us, want to leave a higher deposit or send photos of yourself posing with a bunch of other bikes. Just no. 😌

Obey the rules of the road. Ride safely. And do not deprive yourself of pleasure, add category A to your driver's license!

See you in Montenegro! With love
