Montenegro, I’m back 🌞

On Sunday I flew into Tivat, a town on the coast of Montenegro. I headed straight to the port where it was time to join our (I say our, but I’m doing this trip solo 😂) very own Gulet boat (I booked it through ).

So my home for the next week is this gorgeous wooden yacht, sailing down the stunning coastline of Montenegro.

After a day of swimming, we arrived in Budva. As we anchored, the sun was starting to dip in the sky, creating the most beautiful shimmer across the Adriatic Sea.

We were taken by dinghy into Budva Old Town, a charming walled town filled with houses with orange roofs. It reminded me of Dubrovnik, just on a much smaller scale.

The warren of narrow streets led to small cocktail bars, wine bars, restaurants and shops. The ancient stone walls date back to the Venetian era, and now contain chic boutique hotels and bustling cafes.

As the sun went down further, the sky filled with hues of pink and purple, creating the most magical end to the perfect day 🩷
