La Vallée de Ranomafana et ses environs, à environ 90 km de Fort-Dauphin Madagascar, vous permettront de découvrir pleinement des paysages magnifiques. De plus, vous arrivez au village des éleveurs de zébus, de volailles... et de riziculteurs, entouré de plantes comme les mangues, litchis, jacquiers, caféiers... et orné par la chaîne de montagnes. Les villageois sont très accueillants et sympathiques dès que les visiteurs les croisent, notamment lorsqu'ils croisent des cyclistes qui viennent de traverser la route à proximité du village. Les visiteurs de ce coin paradisiaque traversent au cœur de la forêt tropicale de Manangotry du Parc National d'Andohahela située sur la montagne en suivant la route avant d'atteindre le village de Ranomafana où se trouvent les sources thermales. C'est pourquoi votre visite dans ce lieu vous donnera un accès complet à notre patrimoine culturel jamais inoubliable. L'accès n'est possible qu'en voiture 4x4, VTT ou camion brousse mais nous vous conseillons de le faire en minimum 2 jours aller-retour avec une nuit de bivouac à Ranomafana si vous faites le circuit en voiture 4x4 ou au minimum 4 jours aller-retour avec trois nuits de bivouac dont la première nuit au camping Manangotry, la deuxième nuit dans la ville de Ranomafana, la troisième nuit dans la ville d'Esaka Ivondro si vous faites le tour VTT. Mais cet itinéraire devient le point idéal pour les cyclotouristes, même s'il est un peu sportif au point d'accès traversant de Manangotry à environ 50 km de Fort-dauphin car il présente des montées et des descentes dans la montagne pleine de forêts vierges. Enfin, n'oubliez jamais de faire un tour dans la forêt tropicale de Manangotry du parc national d'Andohahela une fois que vous aurez visité cet endroit. Le village de pêcheurs d'Ambinanibe et ses environs vous offrent de nombreuses opportunités de découvrir la différence d'une beauté naturelle unique en un seul endroit. Vous verrez d'abord la plage de Bevava qui est le meilleur choix pour les touristes surfeurs ; puis le lac qui rejoint la mer bordait le village de pêcheurs orné de cocotiers. Vous pouvez traverser ce magnifique lac en pirogue ou en hors-bord de village pour rejoindre le village de pêcheurs d'Ambovo ou voir le lac Andragnasy. L'avantage est d'avoir la meilleure vue sur les paysages du village de pêcheurs Ambinanibe ; où vous vous arrêterez à la plage du lac Andragnasy qui se trouve de l'autre côté de ce lac Ambinanibe pour un pique-nique ou une baignade. Amusez-vous à la réserve Nahampoana, c'est la réserve botanique très facile pour découvrir les 5 espèces de lémuriens comme le lémurien bambou, le lémur catta (Maki), le lémurien brun (fulvus collaris), le propithèque de Verreaux (Sifaka), microcebus tanosi (podiky) qui est la plus proche de la ville de Fort-Dauphin. Accès possible pour les randonneurs, pour les cyclotouristes, en voiture légère ou en voiture 4x4 selon le choix des visiteurs. Vous pouvez camper ou dormir au lodge dans la réserve pour profiter pleinement de la visite ou découvrir les animaux qui sortent la nuit. Mais la visite est possible en demi-journée soit 40 minutes en voiture ou 1h30 de randonnée du centre ville à la réserve et 40 minutes en voiture ou 1h30 de randonnée de la réserve au centre ville si 2 heures de marche pour circuit minimum dans cette réserve. Nous reprenons notre vélo pour continuer le trajet dans ce magnifique endroit spécialement classé pour les randonneurs pour rejoindre le village de Mahatalaky situé sur la RN12a. Puis nous continuons la route en passant par Iabakoho, Mananbato avant d'arriver à Manantenina. C'est donc un parcours d'environ 85km qui est très joli et ludique pour tous les voyageurs...
