It's that time of year - the Camel Halloween party will be on Saturday October 28. We are once again bringing you some Northern Mali rock n roll, this time a Timbuktu Tamashek/Songhai mash-up. Aratan N'akalle, back from their Swiss tour, will be playing with Moulaye Arby (son of the late Khaira Arby, and a talented guitarist in his own right who is guaranteed to get you up and moving). We will have a costume contest and face painting on site by Hawa. Fun will be had, guitars will be shredded 🎸🕸🎃

Another great concert in the books - Timbuktu group Bouctou Jazz played some northern Mali rock and roll last night and good times were had by all. Much needed. 🎸🎸🪘🪕

Bouctou Jazz is a Bamako-based group from Timbuktu made up of Songhai, Tamashek, and Bambara musicians. Some of them played at our Vieux Farka Toure concert in August. As you all know, Timbuktu is experiencing a lot right now so come through and support some of the famous city's young musician and get down to some rock and roll during these trying times 🎸🎵 (think electric guitars and Ngonis). 2.000 cfa at the door.

Happy Taco Tuesday, and an early sambé sambé! We will be having a banging Taco Tuesday tonight, with grilled chicken satay tacos on special. And we will be open tomorrow from 16h, with Phil making an appearance and cooking up some poitjke, a South African one pot stew.

We will be open with normal hours on Thursday.

For fans of Malian music (which you should be, if you aren't!), it should be a treat and a cool opportunity to see some of the roots of the music scene of today.
