_planner from Myanmar, formerly Burma, Burma from ,
Last month ago Guides Ko Mg Mg , Ma Aye Su Yin , and I went to Pyay City for inspection, Leaded by Tour Company Owner Mr.Wai Phyo ( T&T).
On the way of trip from Yangon, about 1.5 hours, the atmosphere change obviously. Real country side and village life we touch,
We stopped at the small town for meal; the best shop in the city selling noddle, Chicken Soup noddle I ordered,
Then we visited small village where plantation kind of hybrid- paddy management by government, fishery farming, teak plantation. For Lunch we stopped and rest at , there was nice, amazing , fantastic Lunch at floating bamboo hut, sang the songs, played the guitars, disport in water, where rowing boats can be hired, we released our stress in there, I believe that.
Then we headed to Great Ancient Pyu City formerly known as where have been nominated as the first World’s Heritage Site of Myanmar included the two ancient Pyu Cities, Vaksano, Han Lin also by UNESCO on 2014,. Pyu Ancient City located western-north of 180 miles away from Yangon.
The Pyu Ancient Cities provide the earliest testimony of the introduction of Buddhism into Southeast Asia almost two thousand years ago and the attendant economic, socio-political and cultural transformations which resulted in the rise of the first, largest, and longest-lived urbanized settlements of the region up until the 9th century. According the legendry, mythical King who founded that Magical_City with and other supernatural creatures in 443 AD. Sri Ksetra was the capital of the Pyu dynasty of Vikrama. The city was circular with walls enclosing an around of 46 km2 (18 square mile), making it the largest walled city in south-east Asia during its peak. The city contained both housing and also farms, as evident from the remains of water ways and tanks which have been discovered.
The Pyu showed a striking capacity to assimilate Indic influences and swiftly move into a significant degree of re-invention. They created a special form of urbanization, the city of extended urban format, which subsequently influenced urbanization in most of mainland Southeast Asia. These earliest Buddhist city-states played a seminal role in the process of transmitting the literary, architectural and ritual traditions of Pali-based Buddhism to other societies in the sub-region where they continue to be practiced up to the present.
We arrived Pyay City also known as Pyu Ancient City at the evening, and then check in Hotel and dinner at Pyu Restaurant near the Pyu the Old City.
Next morning! We visited to ShweSanTaw Pagoda, one of the country’s biggest Buddhist pilgrimage site, houses of Four Strands Buddha’s Hair, and also southwest corner of the complex is houses of the Scared Tooth as well, just over 3ft taller than the Shwedagon Pagoda. The panoramic views from the Pagoda are great too.
Then we visited around the Ancient City by ox-cart, there was dusty journey, should be used mask while riding ox-cart. Before exploring the ancient ruins, it’s worthwhile stooping in the small (9:00- 4:30, Tue-Sat). Inside displaying various artifacts from excavations, 6th Century Buddha Image, Pyu beads, finely crafted gold and silver jewellery and condensed background details on Pyu architecture, literature and religious beliefs. Among the most important pieces, the small priceless five bronze statues, which are showing us earliest evidence of Myanmar’s musical tradition, a flute player, drummer, cymbal clapper, dancer and comedian – at the ancient Pyu city formed a miniature dance troupe, and were described as the “most striking, impressive and precious art treasures” ever excavated in Myanmar.
